The top off is always the top off. But the GTB is a better car. ;)

This car has silver bonnet slats rather than body colour. Was that some kind of option in '89 or was it changed by the owner after it left the factory? Don't believe I've seen that before.

Saw few week ago on 1986 GTB offered in France. Seller claim that was factory option, but never seen OEM catalogue with it

They're shooting for the moon at this price. They might as well advertise it for a million and really set a record. When there's five to seven cars up for sale by dealers, week after week in the high 80's and nineties, how can a dealer figure he can ask 50% more for a car with 40K miles? To think exactly ONE year ago, I paid 75K for an 87 328GTB with 11,900 miles.
I feel at the time, I paid top dollar for the car. Two months later I bought a 30K miles 328 GTS with a damaged right front fender for 19K. This has been an interesting year, where DEALERS seem to be creating hype and hysteria. ASKING prices are going up certainly, but 328's with 40K have not reach this level where they're SELLING for this much. Certainly at that price, a person can really dicker and put in a low ball offer (100K)
and the dealer will STILL make money.

From the ad, "Being ONE OF the 1st years produced the 1987 GTS models are the most desirable". I've never seen this statement before. The most valuable have always been the last cars with the Mondial suspension design and ABS. Is sentiment changing or is this just hype?

Things are running up quickly, probably too quickly. But guys, have you seen the prices on TR's, specifically 512 TR's? They are in the $200k range and up. In the past, 328 tracked around I'd say 70-80% of the typical prices of TR and maybe around 60% of the typical 512 TR price. So as everything goes up, the 328 are going to go up with them.

Yeah, it's a bubble, but the 328 are just along for the ride.

In all seriousness, I would say being the first, first of the production run, first of the model year, first back after August vacation, is the least best place to be. Regardless, '87 is a fine year for the 328.

Hopefully someone got plenty of photos of this car as a case for originality.

Im guessing since it was a one owner car the guy bought it during the last bubble at or near this price, or higher, and has been waiting all this time to sell it.

I looked this car over up and down and underneath and it is the nicest 328 I have ever seen. It's a euro and was well preserved. Excellent car. If it were a GTB I would have been a buyer.

Fyi, missing tools and books but they did find a well used replacement targa top that they included .

New asking price high? Wow. I think the bike pictured is a Ducati streetfighter. Not terribly valuable, so even if it's a package deal, it would only account for 10k or less of the asking price.

From what I hear, it seems that the actual sales prices here in France these days are "about 80 k€" if the sale is between two persons directly, and "about 95 k€" if it is done by a professional (broker, etc...). FWIW...
