Maybe it's the angle, but the blue car looks nice without all of the Matte Black details... I am not sure.

Seeing the car in yellow, it is pretty weird looking. Why the floating Pony? Why, just in general?

No doubt all will find happy owners, and content with the price, but I still don't understand how this level of MUNDANE suits Ferrari.

Hell, if they released a MONDIAL 8, with a SP moniker, and modified body work, it would sell out in a heart beat, especially at a production of 6 units. I would still ask why.

I am not knocking the Mondial, but I have to ask.

If all money value was aside, I think I would consider the Mondial for more than a couple of seconds.... That says a whole lot. This isn't a knock your socks off type of car.

    It is just weird.

'Why just in general'? Because they made a kick azz concept that people wanted to buy and they needed to sell. Then regulations required windshiel, etc and this is what we got.

I wonder why ferrari allowed this but gave napolis hard time about his creations which were spectacular? Italian politics maybe?

My "Why" question was based more towards "Why not make a car that doesn't mean Road-Worthy criteria. Cars "Just for the Track". Buyers for this stuff would still be the same profile....

As for Jim and Ferrari, that was a different time a new playing field Jim created. Ferrari learned their lesson. When you let a true enthusiast have input, it makes the car look like what an enthusiast would want. When a Board of Directors is involved, that is a totally different discussion.

The P4/5 is the only car made in the last 10 years I long to own. NEVER going to happen. I think that says enough. Sure there are cars I can like, but that is different than longing.

Our small team pushes on with cars we now build from the ground up.

It's kind of strange that our goal is the Top LMP 1 class at Le Mans and Ferrari's no longer seems to be.

    Strange Days...

I'm not certain that regulations actually required the windshield. Not long ago McLaren produced the Stirling Moss version of the SLR with no a-pillars or windscreen. I think the production version of the Sergio would have been better executed without them as well.

Yes - that is the Stirling Moss edition of the SLR. The only one I really find all that appealing.

Perhaps it was the US market that required some kind of windshield on the Sergio. Speculating, but the Stirling Moss SLR wasn't originally Federalized for US sale - one or two have been imported under Show or Display - so it wouldn't have been a factor in their case.

So far two of the 6 Sergios have been imported to the USA and I suspect Ferrari dotted i's and crossed t's to make sure they were fully US legal.

Thanks, Erik. So far, I think the yellow looks the best of those I have seen pictures of. I would guess that this may be a car that needs to be seen in the flesh to appreciate (or not) all those angles....T

There have been a number of pics of that Sergio shared online - it is very similar in color to the original concept. I'll post a few in a little while.

Rather unfortunate for sergio to be parked next to laf in dealership.

Is sergio twice or three times laf price?

First photos I have seen of the third Ferrari Sergio in the USA - the only one of the 6 to be finished in silver. This was hosted on Instagram by @dust2diamond. Anyone here know more about it?

Not so sure on the cream interior choice, however - I think red would have been far more appropriate, even though I am not fond of red.

Since these are just released, we now have a new "last NA V8 Ferrari"! The 458, Spider and Spider SA lost the title.
