Regarding Ring Times. Before being Black Flagged for being too loud we we running 6TH OA and moving up. We ran a 8:12 NS+GP which is about a 6:42 NS with over 100KG of ballast and 510 restricted HP. In road form with 700HP and much lighter even with road legal tires we believe we'd kiss 6:30 NS. Our Thoughts are with everyone and hope the organizers find a way to ensure safety and continue to let racing go on. Either way we will continue racing with SCG 003 and our 2017 SCG LMP1 program is moving along and hopefully will happen. Still find 918 NS time very impressive and await a real La Ferrari and P1 Ring time. Hopefully the events of last weekend won't end this possibility. red alarm! R&T 030 mph: 1.1 seconds ▪060 mph: 2.4 seconds ▪0100 mph: 4.7 seconds ▪0150 mph: 9.8 seconds ▪Quarter Mile: 9.7 seconds @ 149.1 mph
Please remember the p1 and LA ferrari have raced v max in the dry , 209 and 207 respectively. Bug hitting 224 in the wet is annihilation
You were there I guess, so I 'll take your word for that 224. But that's to be expected and totally in line with what I said earlier. Above 200 mph the slippery "interceptor" will outrun the agile "fighter", even if the latter has a higher power/weight ratio. Up there it's the power/drag ratio that matters. Another dry run for the LF using LC would be useful though, as it is unreasonable to be slower than a P1.
Which one you think will be worth more in the long term? Similar production numbers, similar selling price ...
I think that if you want to see what your $1 million car's capabilities are, you try to maximize its' strengths. For the three hypercars, setting incredible race car like lap times while being comfortable road cars is, in my mind, what they were engineered to do better than anything before them. The Bugatti/Koeniggsegg are meant for straight ahead speed, and therefore have the advantage in this area. For instance, the Bugatti supersport was almost 3 seconds slower than the 918 at the Autocar test track. That is why I would love to see a Vmax event run on a closed circuit rather than on just a 2 mile straight runway.
Sure, but at Vmax the cars are driven by the owners as far as I know. I never questioned that LaFerrari/918/P1 would be faster around a track than Egg's or Bugattis. Imo lap times should be set by a pro driver, otherwise they are useless.

call me skeptical, unless LaF was on slicks that 0-60 time is ridiculous for RWD car. road and track 918 and Veyron SS test Veyron SS 0-60mph 2.5 0-100mph 4.9 Quarter Mile 9.9 918 0-60mph 2.5 0-100mph 5.1 Quarter Mile 10
seen 3 at bruntingthorpe now , NONE of them have been near that pace I do know it feels the fastest at the top end . No doubt in my mind
Bruntingthorpe doesn't seem to be the best surface to launch off, the P1 and the 918 both launched much slower at Bruntingthorpe than they did at MIRA when tested by Autocar (the same P1 and 918 used for both tests).

Very good figures for LaFa, but please be assured that the R&T 918 test was not a full instrument legit test, in Car And Driver 918 full instrument test and even with a non weissach 918, they can managed to beat the Veyron records till 180MPH, this is a very great achievement by Porsche it is because 918 target was to be the fastest at circuits(the best handling car of the 3) and this is great it can beat veyron(probably the best hyper car at high speeds drag races) till 180 MPH, I remember when I was at Weissach the legendary driver Walter Röhrl told us in his own experiences with both 918 and veyron he finds 918 faster till 180MPH then Veyron is faster from ~300Kmh and up. So what are you saying? That it was an illegitimate test? It might not have been very extensive but the instruments showed what the instruments showed!
Just read Manuma managed a 6:52 Bridge to Gantry lap at the Nürburgring which would be a 7:02 - 7:04 full lap.
