The 360 CS and F430 Scuderia are very similar cars in terms of looks, mechanics, and mission. And both have some variant of the F1 transmission.

The F40 is a raw, visceral MT car that is nothing like either of the cars being discussed.

Of course, I doubt "investors" care about those things.

All that matters is "numbers built". Supply and demand. To most an F40 is "similar" to a 328.

The collectible art hanging on my walls has ZERO performance, no mechanics or mission.

If you can't afford an F40. Maybe you buy a CS. Fewer numbers.

There are still a handful of ultra low mile CS's tucked away in garages/collections. I know of a red with factory stripe that has under 500mi.

I talked to one owner last week that just had a belt service completed for the first time on his 1k mile CS.

    Just 430...no F before the 430 on the 430 Scuderia : )

There is overlap in the pricing between the Scud and CS depending on options/spec/miles/stories/etc.

Have you any time in a CS? I have a fair amount of seat time in an F40 and the CS is a very close experience and the CS is actually quicker than the F40 around Fiorano...... but that means nothing when it comes to values.

Hello everyone... (Sorry for my poor english...)

Just to give you my take on the CS...

I has been racing driver for 15 years. Stop it on 2002... In 2006 i decide to "change" my 1999 Porsche GT3 by a Ferrari CS. Because the virus never really died, i had to own those type of car just to have the opportunity to go back sometimes on track and at the same time give to my acompaniator a little feeling of what was my racing times... In belgium we have Spa and this really is THE circuit to take real pleasure with that type of cars...

What i can say is simple... and i can tell you how many differents type of racing cars i drove... The CS is absolutly an amazing car !!! No regret at all when driving it in spa instead of my racing cars back on 90-2000... An real racing car ready to bring you back home softly after the race is finished... This car is really what it was supposed to be... A new version of the famous 60thies years Ferrarti car... the GTO.

About the new ones like 430 and 458... these are wonderfull cars but no more sound and builted in great numbers...

I really love this CS for many aspect...

I have tracked mine regularly and was at COTA over the weekend (excellent track to experience the CS). I put centerlock challenge rims on mine and run Trofeos. Suspension is stock though slightly lowered (11mm) and more camber in the front and toe in rear (PM for values). Still running the carbon discs and the pads are nearly gone after two outings at COTA (back straight is hard on the brakes). Weak point is clearly the clutch and gearbox IMHO. Comparing to newers cars, it is really slow in the straights, the newer gt3 and 458 stuff literally blow it away but it holds its own in the esses and 16-17-18 complex

Actually it's not that it's slow (well maybe a little by today's standard), the clutch is marginal for track duty as you can feel it lose bite on the upshifts in taller gears, especially near the end of the session so you have to back off, switching to a kevlar disk would address that. Stock is fine for normal driving, but can't quite manage long track use. Also, the oil temps have a decency to push up into the 240-250 range (may explain why Challenge car has transmission coolers). Regardless, still the best road and track car I have ever owned, not too much power, great grip, very communicative and predictable. Might not be the fastest thing out there, but tremendous fun!

Towards end of sessions you experience clutch slipping? Are you sure this is a general problem and not specific to your car? Gear shouldn't matter, only torque.

Anyway, never experienced anything like that on my 360 Challenge, but that is a different clutch.

That's a LOT for a silver car with miles close to 10K...CNC has one also silver as well. These guys are gouging trying to set that 300K mark...but I think that will take a special car, a Rosso Corsa with Stripe, mint and very low like 1000 or less miles from a private collection.
