I found Cavalleria Book#15 on the 250 LM on Amazon for $385. Gasp!! I looked, and sure enough it was gathering dust on my upper shelf where I use the slip cover as a picture behind the models. I also have #12 (61 SWB) and #14 (62 GTO). Anyway, is there any interest out there for all 3?

There's a full set of the First Series here on FerrariADs for $750.00USD.

And I just bought a huge stack of the Second Series issues from FMof Atl at $10 each....

So, they are worth "something" but not the numbers you cite....looking at mine, they were $65 - $75USD each when new.....

I'm sorry you are talking about the ones dedicated by model, the monographs.

I have that full set, like the periodicals series, they were $70 -80 each when new.

I'd offer that on your three to have them as 'extras" they are very well done and the photography is marvelous!!!!

Amazon "ask" numbers get totally silly on out of print books, scrolling down you can usually buy "Used - Good" condition for a fair price.

    You have read yours correct??

They are out of the plastic wrapper?

That would make them "Used- Like new" in Amazon lingo....probably get $200 for all three.

Ferrarisima and Cavalleria are different series.
Ferrarisima is nice and very cheap to buy, and has several subjects in each book.
Cavalleria covers one specific Ferrari-type in each book. its wayyy nicer and more expensive!

You are correct, I had them confused........

Oddly they were about the same price, here in the U.S. when new, to build the entire collection of Cavalleria books took quite some time, two years IIRC.....

They do attempt to inventory what they have, but each store is unique as ALL of them purchase from 'walk ins"......

I'm very sure they have them. Just bought 11 books from this serie LAST week when i was in France. They ship around the world. Just send an e-mail in English and ask. Only nr 10 was also ordered by me and got the reply that this issue was sold out.

Well I tried to order from them earlier this year and they didn't actually have them (the 2 I was trying to order) but perhaps that has changed.

    Jonathan

Edit: In fact I see they are showing as sold out of the ones I tried to order anyhow.

That's why i mentioned MOST of them are still in stock. Issue nr 1 , 5 , 10 and 16 are sold out. Only issue they can't offer you is nr 10 which is still shown as "available" on their website but isn't there. I'm still looking for nr 1 , 10 and 16 soo if anybody can point me in the direction of those... ;)

Which ones are you still searching for Jonathan?

Yes, very sorry for the confusion. I am missing 1 (512 S/M), 5 (F40 LM) and 16 (California). The hardest ones to find unfortunately!

I bought number 10 from Amazon (UK) earlier this year but they are now showing as out of stock. I also bought some from FNAC (in France) but their website also shows some editions as available which weren't when I tried to order them.

They are a great series when you can find them. You can also get the later book "the Red Dream" which was a collection of the very best pics from the series as well as some other cars that did not get published in one big photo book without all the historical text. Still if someone offered me $1600 for the whole set that might be hard to turn down!

    Cheers!

You know, when you put it on the shelf, #16 doesn't match the others.....:D

It's the only one with an atypical photo on the slipcase....

Does anyone have a current view on the 'right price' (US$) for a full set of the 16 books in very good condition? I have the chance to purchase but the opening price point seems a touch high to me. That said, it could be one of the only opportunities I ever get to acquire them.
