    Thats great for first race
How can the other cars which look like converted street cars do same? 003 is more like a prototype. Guess the restrictions do balance competition

Everyone is required to build to the same rules, regulations and dimensions. Our car is totally within GT3 rules. The other manufactures can build GT3 cars that look like ours. The New Ford GT already does in the rear. The key is smaller more compact engines like ours and the new Ford GT's TTV6's which allow you to build a more compact/ aerodynamic car within the same rules.

How did the cars hold up to the stress of the road? Anything that needs a redesign??

Also, did the noise increase over the course or was it something you could have pre-checked ahead of the race?

    No issues at all.

Each track tests differently. We tested before the race and thought we were within the regulations but will add mufflers. No problem.

After the race we put car on chassis 7 axis test rig to further develop shocks, springs and set up from what we learned during the race.

    These Cars are really something.

    Yes.

Next two will likely be road cars one may be a Spyder.

    Dear Jim,

8:12 NS+GP is very impressive indeed, especially it's the car's first time physically tested on the ring.

I wonder how much lap time SCG 003C can improve, and whether GT3 cars can break 8 minutes NS+GP track barrier.

We can improve and IMHO the top GT3's could break 8 BUT after the Nissan Crash I think speeds will be dialed back and spectators will be pushed back.

Really spectacular cars and results. Pity it was a noise issue that thru a wrench in it (sorry to mix a metaphor!)...

Can't wait to see the roadster!

    Will there be a 003CxxK??

    8^)

Instead of an XXK I think we'll stick with C which is a real race car that can race in real races...

Given the charges to the road car to meet regs, it would be interesting to see what sort of time the road car would set with it's lower weight and healthier horses...

Road Legal Version will be lighter and have more HP. It's wing, splitter and diffuser will be less extreme than Race version and bespoke road legal tires will have less grip then slicks.

That said I'd guess it will kiss 6:30.

That said the NS as it exists today may very well be chicaned or regraded to slow everyone down. The days of "Flying" on the Ring may be over.

Speaking of flying, I found Nissan's display at the N.Y. show a bit "tone deaf"
Usain Bolt "what if ...we could fly?" with a GTR race car displayed in pride of place...

I may have missed it if you covered it in a previous post - are you going to try for an official NS lap time with the road version? If so, any idea when?
