Guys, I'm having Vicks Upholstery in Panorama California do some interior work for me, but he is unable to stamp the horse insignia in the head rest. Do any of you know someone in Southern California that is willing to do this for me if I send them the leather swatches?
    Thanks in advance!

Cooks Upholstory in Redwood City redid my 328 seats. They sent the headrest leather out to have the horse emobossed. Suggest you contact Cooks.

When I redid my interior, I "One Upped" Ferrari.

I embroidered my cavalinos with silk.

Well what I'm hearing is not that encouraging... Does anyone know of someone in the U.S that would be able to stamp the Insignia in the head rest if we just sent the leather swatches?

Vic does a great job. I ended going without the horsey headrests. Good luck with the seats.

Stupid question, but did all 308s originally come with a cavallino in the headrest? I read a lot here about people stamping them in during redos, but - out of about 40 cars I examined during my 308 search - I never saw a single one that had a cavallino in the headrest. Were they standard and tended to wear off, or just a modern personal preference? Thanks.

Yes I agree, Vic does exceptional work, easy to talk to and I feel very comfortable with him doing the work. He's actually helped me a time or two and refused to charge me anything. That says a lot! :)

Old thread, but did you find a solution to the correct stamping of the Cavallino in the headrests?

Not the TA, but my solution will be to mail the headrest covers and a Cavallino pattern to NZ to my Dad, and have him hand carve the leather for me.

Image Unavailable, Please Login I had mine done a couple of years ago but I’m was a little disappointed because as you can see the horsy is not in the prancing position or not vertical enough. I’m thinking about having it redone the right way.

Embossed? I thought he only stamped (i.e. recessed)

He stamps it in the head rest, just as the factory would have.

Seems that someone with access to a CNC machine could make us a club "branding iron" no?

Yeah that's what I have too but they're much larger and not as detailed as the original. Trying to get it right before the interior is installed.
