I can see paying 70's to mid 80's for a 360 Coupe. Anymore than that and I would just extend the payments, or wait a year and snag an F430 Coupe. Anything over 90k is getting way to close to F430 money. Another 20-30k gets you a car that is an improvement on the 360 on every level....other than looks. However the standard price 360 F1 is a hell of a deal.
You're doing it wrong DT. A 430 gated manual car with 11K miles on it is a 160K car IMO, at least at ask. You can get your 70's to mid 80's 360 coupe but it wont be a ~10K mile gated manual car. The Seattle car was also an '04, the last year for a coupe IIRC. A lot of radar screens follow F-Cars and pricing. The other watchers may have a lot of disposable income compared to other "markets" so if you want to play in that pool you will have to pay, because the other guys will. You "could" get lucky, but like I said there are a lot of radar screens on the subject matter. That red car that our F-Chatter is selling is a jewel. I hope that works out for you OP.
I have an F430... Yea right about not getting a perfectly fine 360 manual for under 90k, if people on this site wanna spread that b.s. fine, but I am well aware what a lot of dealers are actually paying for these cars. I had 3 friends sell great 2002+year red 360 6-speeds for 74-83k. I am not a fan of that Doug DeMuro, but his 360 was by all accounts a great late model 6 speed and best he could get was under 80k.
That's super! If you bought a gated manual car you have already made money, unless you crashed. If you didn't get the stick... you are in a different market and a different driver experience than the focus of this thread. Why are we both here? LOL is it Friday night? LOL... As for myself, I have an active interest in Wheelman getting a gated manual 360 because I have one and for me it is a sublime experience. ;-)
True, I am more less killing time. It is an F1. I watched some of the OP post and I was concerned he was feeling pressured into overpaying for a car. Me and you both follow the market and 6-speeds seem to sell in waves. One month none a for sell, the next month 9 are up for grabs. In all honesty the 6-speed 360 will probably hold it's value pretty well compared to the F1, but I keep seeing dealers getting them in the 60's and low 70's and then charging 90's for it.
I liked Dougs car because he had video evidence that it worked perfectly! I loved Paul Walkers for 70K too and it didn't sell on Ebay at first try either but alas...we are talking about... months ago! Every season that goes by people realize that gated manual cars are not going to be available in a high end exotic. Even more important is the knowledge that they are cheaper to maintain and more fun to drive (for the right type of person).
Agreed, the 6-speed is the less complicated Ferrari to have. Probably the biggest threat to 360 prices is the depreciation of the F430, and the notion that the 360 F1 gearbox is rather harsh, slow, expensive, and sometimes unreliable.
Hi Dustin, I am fairly new to this site, so I don't yet have access to personal messages. Do you mind emailing me your asking price along with any other service history you may have on the car? Mainly last major and clutch. Thanks! [email protected]
Thanks for the compliment! Official listing just posted if anyone is interested. Thanks! http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/ferraris/482334-2000-ferrari-360-modena-rosso-corsa-beige-6-speed-manual.html
No one's going to get me to overpay for car simply b/c there's no additional money to overpay with. I have my budget and I'm sticking to it.
Email sent. Please see official listing in this same area for answers to a lot of your questions. Thanks!
Anyone know the story on these two: 1999 Silver/Black Euro Coupe w/33k asking $64k: Cars for Sale: 1999 Ferrari 360 Modena in Chattanooga, TN 37421: Coupe Details - 388387376 - Autotrader 1999 Red/Black Coupe w/40k asking $68k: 1999 Ferrari 360 Modena , $68,000 - Cars.com Far from perfect, but would be fun drivers?
That car should be on a truck this week heading south, where my garage has an empty bay the Prancing Horse will soon occupy.
I have a red on tan 2004 360 Spider gated 6 SPD 12,000 miles on it at my dealership $116,000 if youre interested. [email protected]
Can't bring myself to love silver.... The more I am looking the more I am leaning towards a TDF Blue even more than Red.
