    Hi all,

    Two quick things.

A friend and I are visiting the US for the fist time and apart of our tour we are doing LA, LV, SF and NY on a 4wk trip. So far we are about 13k deep in travel costs and airfare etc, but we have some spare time in LA.

Some of you might even know me through various forums, or if you've been a round a while I created the ExoticCarSite.com website before I sold up to someone about 8yrs ago who does nothing but run ads on it now.

Anyway.... We fly in to LA 1/5 leaving at 6am and I believe arriving at 6am due to the time differences effectively flying against the time zone changes from AUS to LA. We are looking to attend a C&C type meet as here in Australia we really have SFA. Can anyone tell us what is on that weekend (3/4 of May) that we can attend and see some F cars along with other more unique supercars (F1, XJ, EB etc) out and about whilst taking in a hot chocolate bright and early before we head out to Annaheim Disneyland?

Also we're looking for car hire service from 1/5-3/5 and none of the usual car hire websites have anything we want (C6 coupe, F355 coupe / GTS, etc - we need something with space for luggage and definitely don't want a convertible Mustang or Corvette). Can anyone recommend a car hire service with such vehicles near LAX? Or if anyone has a 355 and would like $$$ your way for the privilege that would also be greatly appreciated alternative. I nearly bought a Berlinetta last year sight unseen interstate however I elected to fly in and upon inspection the 355 was nothing short of a disaster. Overspray everywhere, panels gaps didn't align etc. I didn't even want to take it for a drive. Got my deposit back and flew home, guttered and it wasnt even a cheap example. Looked around for 6-8 months but gave up and settled on a 335 with 600hp instead. Nice daily, but obviously no 355 weekender...

So I'm chasing the dream, even if its only for 2 or 3 days - is anyone able to help us out or point us in the right direction? Age restrictions etc shouldnt matter as I'm 30 and my friend is 35.

Any help with C&C dates and car hire would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

Also, is Jay Lenos garage open to the public?

We were hoping to see more than just ferraris. P1, 918, McLaren, ford gt etc.

Does Irvine c&c fall on this date?

Leno's garage is not open to the public. You would have to directly contact his management.

I believe May 3 is Ferrar Marque day at Supercar Sunday in Woodland hills.

You can also check out this site for information on events coming up in Socal.

If you want to rent an exotic, check out Fast Toys or the other may be Gotham rentals.

We came across SoCalCarCulture the other night.

We tried the usual Avis, Budget etc rental places but none of them seem to have anything we felt was suitable for what we wanted. Really disappointing.

We'll check out Gotham and Fast Toys, thank you. =)

Hertz at LAX has all the Porches, they had a Viper coupe, Lambo and I saw a California that you can rent. I have rented a couple of the new Porsches at LAX Hertz

Alright, you seem to know what you want. For the price, it's a good value.

    Hi, Brad

You and your friend will have a great time here in the states. If I may offer one suggestion, it would be to refer to specific dates by spelling-out the month to avoid confusion. For example, in your first post, you wrote "1/5." To just about all native-born Americans, we interpret that as January 5th, not the first of May.

It would be terrible to make plans to see or do something only to find out you are months-away from being on the right date, especially when making reservations. When in Rome, do as the Romans.

    Enjoy yourselves!

Try Black & White rentals in Beverly Hills for exotic rentals if needed.
