If it's not one thing it's another. Do these cars come with an on board ghost. Ok so left turn signal works great. This morning I notices the green indicator is not coming on when I turn left. The right side does. So did a visual. Right side works and the left turn signal doesn't. Bulbs are good, when I turn the hazards on everything flashes correctly. When I push the signal indicator down to turn left nothing happens. Again right side and hazards are fine. Any thoughts. Everything has been working flawless up until this morning. Thanks for the help. Is it time to take the steering column apart? Ugh

I had a similar problem years ago. It was the multi-pin connector in between the cluster and the dash harness.

In most cases it's the hazard light switch, as it uses the same circuit. Try moving the hazard light switch when you turn the signal and see if that works.

And if its not the hazard switch or the dash connections themselves, it may also be the wiring behind the front indicator which is notoriously poor.

when I rebuilt my interior my signals suddenly went flaky as well. I had to clean off the switch (the hazard switch under the center console) and reconnect everything. Everything works great now.

What do you mean behind the front indicator? The little green light on the dash?

I think it may be the actual lever. It feels weird. Turning right is flows up nicely. Turning left pushing it down it kind of clunks down. I wasn't keen on pulling the steering wheel of to open the steering column but I guess that might be what I have to do.

I take it back. On further reflection there was a muti-pin connector under the dash near the steering shaft that was the problem.

I meant behind the indicator, in the bumper. The ground is prone to corrosion, giving intermittent function of the one side. The hazard switch is the prime suspect though.

You should be able to diagnose without removing the wheel and boss. The connector is under the steering column below the vinyl cover. Grab a circuit diagram and short out the pins for the turn indicator and see if that fixes your issue.

    Good luck

Before taking anything apart I would spray electrical connector cleaner on the piece that the signal/ headlamp levers connect to in the steering column. Did that when my signals/lights started messing up and it was cured.

Here is an interesting update. On my 308 I suspect there is a pin that broke. I didn't realize when I push the signal level down to turn left, it goes down two spots. If I gently push it up a touch. The signal works perfect. I guess there is something that came loose that is allowing the lever to go lower then it should and thus bipassing the terminal to activate the signal. So what do you think broken lever? I guess I found my first winter project when I put the car away.
