Takes some getting used to but I agree with you. It wasn't until I saw photos of the 488 in Grigio Ferro that I knew I had to have one.

That's what the moderns use as en excuse for people with bad taste. Beauty has always been about correct proportions.

FINALLY!!!! Someone who understands the difference between personal taste (or lack thereof) and universal constants. Yes, some things are just 'right'.

I think both cars have almost the same proportions, so that's not the case here. However, in my opinion, the ines of the 488 are just more softer, than the ones on the 458, which are more sharper.

    You mean "en-vogue", that's right?

    I'd rather timeless design !

Was messing around in the configurator and found that it is actually available, albeit hidden and incomplete, for the 488 GTB. You just need to manually input the URL: http://car-configurator.ferrari.com/488gtb

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but it might be useful if you want to see the car in all of the different colors.

It seems very much in progress. Pretty much every Ferrari configurator has at least offered two-color interiors, and this one doesn't, in addition to not offering carbon interior as far as I could see (may have missed it). I'm honestly surprised that the website was available to the public, but I guess it doesn't really do them any harm and makes it easier for them to test it.

    Yes.

I like fresh designs as much as I like timeless designs. I don't consider the 458 timeless. It's very much a product of its time and look that way. I honestly think the only modern era Ferrari I consider somewhat timeless, is the 599GTB.

In the end, I like both the 458 and 488. I'm not a fan of Rosso Corsa 458's, but I think the new metallic Rosso Corsa looks great on the 488. It's all about the sum of the parts.

My only gripe is why on earth they used those FF wheels...
