Crazy question, but has anyone bothered asking her if she was really bothered by it? Or are they basing this broad assumption on the picture alone which shows her (as any of us would) whining at something being sprayed on her? Or does her opinion not matter

I asked her. She was very annoyed. She'd just bought the dress and it was ruined....also, it made her mascara run.

One of the biggest complaints about F1 is that the drivers do not have personality and all we get is corporate speak. Now they want to take away the champagne celebration, why don't they just finish it off and remove the drivers all together and have little robots drive the cars. This is just ridiculous..I am completely offended and my rights have been violated by this stupidity. There is so much real trouble in the world and this is considered a major issue by the media, come on! Rant out.

Fans should be banned from wearing brightly colored attire at the track, as it offends my highly developed and sensitive sense of fashion. And it's outmoded. Today's fashions are much more subdued and subtle.....nuanced, even.

Racing must change with the times! Grid girls, Champagne celebrations and festively attired fans are SO 20th Century......

I'm thinking the official champagne brand of F1 podiums would want their money back if anyone seriously tried to ban the bubbly.

Seriously...has F1 become so boring that a champagne malfunction is headline news.

Has anyone seen Valetino Rossi's champagne spray on the podium? He usually goes
    "up skirt" with the bubbly.

The only problem is, once the champaign dries, it is sticky and it stinks, hard to get
the odor out of clothes, etc.

Like everything else in life, traditions are there to be challenged and not slavishly followed.

So now you contradict yourself and admit it is tradition?

Just let us know one way or the other so we know the rules. When you keep changing them it is so hard to keep up.

Even if it is a "tradition", it doesn't have to be maintained.

Many so-called "traditions" have been successfully challenged and later abandoned, don't you know?

Maybe you want a list as well...

I hope it will as otherwise this might be the end of F1.

We had 3 races without the end of F1 predicted yet, so it is about time to bring back that annual tradition.
