I didn't see the end, but I bow down to your prognosticating abilities. I didn't think he had enough laps to overtake Nico. Can't wait to get home and watch the end.

Respect to Ham...holding off the Scuderia did not seem to be easy today. I doubted Ferrari's strategy, but we see why they make the decisions and not me.

Here ya go.... [Pictures "of", not "from" BTW ;) ]

Just updated the BBC player - Very nice..... Seems I can get it "on demand", which will be very nice when the TZ screws with me.....

Anyone else finding Fchat really slow today? [I'm even getting some timeout errors! :( ]

Hmmph - "Manage attachments" is timing out - I'll try later.

I'm not convinced Kimi is really that bothered about motivating the team or about contracts TBH!

I think the only thing really bothers Kimi is winning races - Anything else is just failing to do the job!

Yes thanks B, regards the Ferrari strategy that was questioned by EJ, to an english Ferrari engineer wow, things have moved on..;)

He said a PC program worked it out, and they stuck to it..:)

Noooo, ofcourse not.....then he failed big time last season....

That's why he asked Arrivabenne for a new contract after just two moderatly decent races into the new season.....for at least 15 million euro's a year.

Let's stop this Kimi "doesn't bother anything" noncence.

And I wonder if that thought crossed Fred's mind. I believe he was the one who wanted to move away from SF...not the other way around.

+1 as if he was an iceman lol! He is no different than anyone else. He likes his job, his lifestyle and wants to continue it.

If Vettel didn't have the front spoiler issue, both ferraris would have been on the podium. Regardless, well done results by the team. Mercedes is getting nervous and they are running out of strategies; to the point that they are copying ferrari's pit strategy.

Yes, I'm sure Kimi will be devastated, inconsolable and crying his eyes out if Ferrari don't offer him another contract for next season!

    :)

I think Isobel has them both beat!

She's forgotten more F1 history than those cuties will ever know. ;)

    Cheers,

Ricciardo is already on his last engine. I foresee many penalties.

It's what the divorce lawyers used to call irreconcilable differences. Too bad. It's like two great people who, together, are toxic. Needn't have been this way.

When he finishes ahead of a red car he'll be smiling on the inside.

He may not be overt about it but he is the one who asked first. So think what you might about that. Leaving a multi-million Euro gig for you is normal??

I disagree, had vettel not had a problem today it would've been Ham, Ros, and Rai or Vet.

I don't think Vettel would've gotten around Rosberg and Vettel wouldn't let Kimi go by. Then again, we're playing "what if's".

    Who said he is asking?

Kimi/Robertson wouldn't publicly announce they're trying to get the extension, that's not their style.

I have little doubt the media asked questions if Kimi will sign for his 1 year extension (when he signed for Ferrari it was on a 2 + 1 deal) and I'm sure they replied ''it's in the works''. Arrivabene simply replied to the same media that if he continues to deliver, they'll offer him the extension.

You guys are making it sound like he got on his knees begging for an extra year, lol

Brilliant drive by Kimi! Well deserved. He would have won that race in a few laps.

Kimi in the press stating its up to the team - Team responded quickly that its up to Kimi's performances. No shock this is a public negotiation in some ways. LH and Mercedes are up to the same thing publicly. Nothing new at all.

Wow....Kimi's best race in years. He really drove well. He beat Vettel far and square. He had an excellent start. A few more laps and he would have won.

    Well done Team Ferrari!
