Sure doesn't looks like Rosso Barchetta in the pictures, but since that's what the color sticker says, I'll just blame in on their lighting/photos.

Ahhh so thats where it comes from. Almost 20 years ago, when I got into my career and was able to afford fine dining, I said thank you sir to a waiter he said that exact phrase. I thought he got offended...so I stopped saying it.

I also get guys who say you make me feel old, don't call me sir LOL...sometimes, I can't help it just being respectful and polite.

 

Website price 99k, changed to 106k, now changed to "call for price"

 

The dealer obviously reads our posts...

Is it me or does the CarFax look a little funny?

With no mileage history I worry about odometer rollbacks...

In my opinion this is the holy grail of 355's
This was a 65k car 2 yrs ago.
Nice to see prices on the rise for you 355 guys.

 

I would think a car like this at a top auction house would sell for 150k +, perhaps closer to 200k as the recent Fiorano sold for.

355's are amazing cars, collectors are starting to get involved. The days of 355's being entry level Ferrari's normal guys bought due to cheap purchase price and then fretted over 10k repair bills because they couldn't afford it - are over. ( I was one of the guys also, not being a snob).

The ship has sailed and prices will continue to rise dramatically for these coveted cars.

 

If this car is still for sale when I get back from my trip at the end of this month and I can buy it for around 100k, I will have a 3rd.

 

yeah its Carfax hardly marginal with their information.

Carfax is a damn Joke.



I Think I am up to 5 or six different cars that I know had damage or had been totaled and parted out, that still show clean and clear carfax's.

 

Interesting that the listing says that the car hasn't been driven since 1999. I am guessing that they had to spend $28,000 to bring it back to life.

 

Look I get that CarFax won't show accidents necessarily.

But CarFaxes do show registration, ownership, and miles. I have to imagine you've seen your share of CarFaxes. I've seen thousands and this one looks funny. When the odometer isn't documented, it's easy to unhook the thing.

If I'm spending $100+K on a Ferrari and especially a 355, I want the CarFax to look more like the way a CarFax looks on a "no-stories" car.

A CarFax typically doesn't look like this unless someone wants it to look like this.

Normally yes, but not in this case.

Take a close look at the registration stickers on the car. It hasn't been registered since 1999. That's why there's nothing on the carfax. The car wasn't registered, and couldn't have been driven as a result.

The mileage is accurate.

 

Why would it have a new clutch at 5,000 miles?
