+44 Hamilton is on his way to his 3rd title at which point he will match Stewart. Clark, Brooks, Moss and Mansell are already in his rear view mirror
Andreas, i can also print euro bills in my printer...a lot of them...too bad they aren't worth as much as real ones!!!
Just ignore pedro hes a sour troll. He will try and tell you that ANYONE is better than Hamilton even though he knows for a fact its not the case. Just look at his incoherent and illogical arguments. They aren't even worth responding to.
I realize you have your own reference framework in which Alesi is king. I'm merely going by the one the sport came up with: WDCs and WDC points
Thanks for çposting TOil's latest joke Andreas...so now let's take a pick who's place is Hamilton taking in the top 5....(this is going to be fun)
Its actually quite entertaining watching him make such a fool of himself. He cant even answer my question because he knows it will not end well for him. how do i make img's work? @furoni Are you going to answer my question how Lewis hamilton doesn't even make the top 20? I cant imagine big Furoni has no reply for such an easy answer no? I heard you where such a touch guy. (take all the time you need buddy)
Are you saying that he deliberately managed to actually displace the entire barrier? Seems pretty risky with little return as everyone would share the advantage. Great story regardless.
This is too fun to watch. Facts are tough things to ignore. Hami is a great driver. Some may not like him but he is great. The fact that he draws so much attention and criticism speaks for itself. He's grown tremendously and having met him I think he's great for F1 and a class act.
No, no, not displace, that was not his intention, i'm merely saying, a driver tries to use as much track as he can without touching the wall or guard rail in order to carry as much speed as possible trough the corner, and Gilles used everything and actualy touched the barrier (geting absolutly every inch of the track he could) without ever damaging the tire!!! This shows a precision and car control beond anything i have ever seen...
I wouldn't say king....that place is for Gilles, and after him there are still many more in front of Jean...but he's surely a big name, just as Hamilton is....
So if Gilles is king how did he get beaten by his team mates in almost half the seasons he competed in f1?
Not so long ago (possibly even in this thread) I said MS is the most successful F1 driver of all time. You simply can't argue with statistics and points. The odd thing about many MS fans is that they only use the stats to prove how good he was but they don't accept them for when he wasn't or for when other drivers achieve similar accomplishments.
Not really, in fact, it's usually the other way around. Most of his haters (not saying you do this) try to dismiss his titanic achievements as being down to a superior car, etc. (as if other greats such as Senna, Prost, Fangio, even our very own LH, etc. ) didn't achieve most of their wins in superior cars.
Okay, got it. That is impressive. Who's best? I'd like to think there will be an after life where these arguments could be settled. Imagine a grid with all the greats. And the party afterwards!
Even by Toil's standards it wouldn't work...we still have Shummy with 8, fangio with 5, Prost with 4, Seb with 4, And a few chaps with 3.....and all of this overlooking the fact that Hamilton's 1ºst title was a fraud, only achieved as the result of a proven fixed race by Briatore and Alonso....
Schummy 8? Yes, it was Briatore/Alonso, Timo Glock and the weather that gifted Hamilton his first championship. How about Spa 2008? Did you forget about that? Is it also safe to say that Alonso's ego took away his first one in 2007 and gifted it to Raikkonen? I can see you don't like the guy, but history will show he was one of the greatest...best of his generation. Schumachers's 7 and 91 wins will be tough to beat, but I think every other record will be smashed by Hamilton. It will be in black and white for the history books. Then when he retires and sits somewhere on the beach with a Billion $ in his bank account you will still be on Ferrarichat talking about how he was gifted all of those records.
It is funny how many people here confuse "best" with "most successful", especially in a sport that is won by a team rather than a single person...Statistics can be used to "proof" every argument you want to proof in one way or the other and are worthless when compared over several decades as the parameters changed a lot...just ask a statistician what he would say about that... Even when taking the statistics of the same decade they are a thing of interpretation...Vettel and Hamilton do not differ much in their stats but for some reason the conclusions of them are very different here...
It's also funny how when it's someone's favorite driver it was all down to the driver. When it's somebody they don't like then it was the dominant car, the strategy, the #1 status, the cheating, etc. NOBODY wins a championship with a slow car. Even Senna had a dominant car.
