Faded leather and carpet, dirty headliner and visors replaced by Bob Budd, Classic 9 Leather, in Dearborn Heights, MI. Excellent work, on time and on budget. No affiliation. Just a happy customer.

No, maybe you are right, but it's a different moment. Same antenna on the roof. it' amazing to find so few photos on internet about this.

True...very odd as I would think there would be a few photos of them taken during the 1975 Le Mans. I haven't seen any still camera photos of the silver ONS '75 Turbo but it should have the same "R" decals as the green one. The emergency lights on the roof may have been a permanent attachment but body filler and a repaint would hide any evidence if someone owns one of these turbos today. Of course the birch green color would be another hint but I've yet to see one surface, but it could be hidden by a red repaint. Seems like many of these early turbos with unique colors are ghosts but hopefully are just awaiting restoration.

Eric, your 930 is beautiful, as is the 991 TT, but this thread is dedicated to 3.0 930s, those built between 1975 and 1977.

Doesn't it look adorable? 1976 Turbo. Just a light overspray in Ice Green Metallic, turning 200.000 pieces into an engine again and I'm ready for summer. Not sure which one, but ok.

Matching, German delivery and original manual with stamps and first owner's name. Ready for shipping...

My Viper Grün Metallic 930 '76 has this weird contact key thing in the foot rest area. Probably after market, but I'm not sure. Does anyone recognize this part?

Part # 930.512.010.01 is for the tail with larger secondary vent ('76-77 U.S. Turbo Carreras and RoW '75-76 with optional air conditioning and RoW '77 with or without A/C).

I have not seen any date stamps. I believe the 1975s with non-optioned A/C (930.512.010.00) have some slight differences to the 1976 non-A/C versions (lack of indent by the wiper motor, etc.).

It may have varied but the part number on my 1975 Turbo tail is located as indicated. This tail is not from my car but easier to show the part # location when removed.

There are many repro tails and some include the 930 part number but it's usually not located in the area indicated.

It would be interesting to learn if 1976 and 1977 Turbo tail part numbers are in this same location on the metal frame.

Mine is a 77. I'll look today. The car has been repainted so hoping it's still legible.

Bright anodized trim option? Has anyone seen this on a 3.0 930 before? I know a lot of early cars have sun faded black trim but that is not the case with this car. All of the trim is bright anodized/chrome. Including the door handles and original sugar scoop headlight trim (currently replaced with H1s). Still waiting on a COA but not holding my breath as these are known to be somewhat inaccurate.

You guys aren't going to believe this. Back in August when I sold my Copper Brown Metallic 1976 930, I had driven it to work for the very last time...the new owner was picking it up that evening. Just as I've parked and stepped out of it, a big dump truck pulls up beside me and the owner says "Is that a 77 911 Turbo?" and proceeds to tell me that his dad has one exactly like it, same color and everything. I'm thinking yeah sure...some midyear fiberglass turbo look conversion. But he gets out his cel phone and shows me this picture.
