    Ok so I have small amount of corrosion next to fender shield I plan to repaint the damaged fender. Anyone know the best acid I use to treat the corroded area before paint. Thanks in advance.

    I reckon an etch primer after sanding.... I think there might be other products that are aircraft specific as there is an awful lot of Ali airoplanes

    Hi i worked in the aircraft industry for 23 years most parts on an aircraft would be anodised, but for repair jtems we used a product called alochrome, when you strip the paint off and you are left with the alialloy before you apply the alochrome or acid etch primer make sure you clean the corrosion off so that the ali is shining then apply the anti corrsion treatment before oxidation takes place this should sort out your corrosion,cheers, elt360.

    Yes mate very light sand blast then 2 part poxy duks nuts filler then 2 part poxy duks nuts etch primer shud be good to go. I re painted bumpers will be painting black on them sat I plan to truck the car to paint shop on sat morn also I have some damage on front fender lips looking at rolling the lips.

    Riggio- If you go to ferraridatabase.com, you can download an early F430 WSM that has an entire section (in section M) on preparing and painting the F430. Includes recommended products.
