Does anyone know if Seb has named his Ferrari yet?, and if so, what is her name?
Thank you for that, ESPN seem to confirm it: Sebastian Vettel names first Ferrari 'Eva' | Ferrari | Formula 1 news, live F1 | ESPN.co.uk For some reason My initial Google search brought up no results but now putting in: "Sebastian Vettel names F1 Ferrari" brings up "Eva". (Hopefully not after Eva Braun!) Next question would be: Why Eva?
I read an article in which Sebastian said it was because it was his first Ferrari and also, it is a play on the name of his race engineer, Adami (Adam and Eve).
Ahhh the woman who "made" Bond. Watch the Dreamers if you haven't. I'd do a lot of wrong things for dinner with that girl. I'm happy that he got a podium. He's had a lot of misfortunes.
Why should naming your car make you somehow less of a man? Is it that you think naming a car makes a man a bit effeminate? Are you one of those people who thinks that "real men" don't name their cars?, don't wear pink?, don't wear earrings?, don't watch rom-coms?, only drink beer?, never cry?, never ask for help? etc., etc.? If so: Welcome to 2015 "1970's man!" - You're a bit behind the times! To My mind, a "real man" is strong enough not to be bothered about what others might think about what he does because he is secure about his own personality! And let's not forget that some of the bravest "real men" who ever lived went to war in WW2, in planes, tanks and ships that they gave girls names to! - So why should naming a plane be fine but naming a car not be? (Or do you feel that the men who named their war machines were a bit effeminate and not "real men"?) Plenty of men happily treat their cars as though it were a person, referring to the car as "she", as in "She's running a small block chevy pumping out 350 bhp!" , and "Her", as in "I need to get her engine rebuilt in time for Summer!", and plenty of men happily talk to their cars when they are around them, so why shouldn't you give the car a name? I guess I'd better: "turn in My man card" because I name all of My cars and so somehow I'm not a "real man!". I've got a BMW named Booby (more commonly referred to as "boobs") and a Ferrari named Fee (because Fee's always cost you money!), and yes - I do talk to them! I think it's nice that Seb names his F1 cars as it shows that each one means something special to him.
Over the course of a season Seb is likely to have more than one car. Do they all get their own names? If Kimi ends up driving "Eva" for a race or two does he get to rename her? Enquiring minds want to know.
Oh I think that we all get it. Kimi would be more likely to call last year's car something like that.
