With a 28 litre motor, its got to be fast, despite being 100 years old !!

This is really a nice video. I don't watch many, I usually find them boring, but this was great. Thank you for sharing.

A friend built something rather similar out of a LaFrance fire-engine. Okay, it only had a 14 litre T-head 6 cylinder engine, half the capacity of the Fiat, but chain drive, open exhausts etc. He once drove it 70 kms on the freeway from Durban to Pietermaritzbug in South Africa, in the fast lane, without any lights, registration etc., took part in a car-show, and drove it back home. The fuel-bill for the trip was hilarious, but oh man that thing was a blast!

This Fiat is of course an original, and utterly amazing.

    Best,

    Jack.

Your friend should distill his own fuel for the complete experience.

He's distilling in the great blue sky now, mis him a lot. Contrary to everyone's expectations, it wasn't even one of his cars that killed him. No idea where the LaFrance is now, npr any other of his eclectic collection. He was a true enthusiast, in there for what his cars have back to him and drove all of them like he stole them. Too seldom in today's world. RIP Peter Mah;knecht.

    Apologies for off-topic post,

    Best,

    Jack
