I will represent you in court*!! *BTW, I have no training in law. I watch Night Court back in the 90's (What a zany Judge!) therefore my knowledge should be plenty adequate.
From what I can tell from his post, your sense of logic is light years ahead of his so he would be super lucky to have you represent him!
Unprepared Seller Gets What He Deserves. It's not even a page 23 headline for Forza. If you don't know what a car is worth, you have no business complaining about what you got paid for it. A little knowledge might have netted you a considerably higher price. Expecting the dealer to "do you a solid" and clue you in is just asinine. If you were in his shoes, would you have paid him $100K more than he asked for it, just because you knew it to be worth more? Nope, you'd be on here telling us all how you stole the car from an unaware dealer. So, take the $30K, pay your taxes on it, and move on. D
Sorry for the hijack, but I was driving my Ferrari this morning with the roof off and now my nose is sunburned. Wondering if I should sue the dealer, the factory, or the Obama administration. Thanks in advance! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
There's nothing I can add to this thread that hasn't been said already. I may sue my realtor for not telling me my house was worth more than I sold it for. He should have known lol.
There's no case here unfortunately-- The insult to injury is his lawyer taking a case that clearly he can't win.
Are you talking about the Porsche Boxster? What he meant was the Ferrari Boxer. Notice the spelling...
Seems like he has not been online since posting this thing. Of course he might have been here and not have been logged in... Oh man, I wonder how he feels about not getting the pat on the back he thought he would get
In before 1000 posts. "I don't have my car anymore because I sold it " Strangely I have noticed this as well. Every time I sell something I no longer have it. Every time! I just don't get it.
Hey, do what I did. Many moons and suns ago, I sold my 355 to someone who lives in our neighborhood. He had to wait for an entire year before he had room for it, so I stored it. All the while he let me drive it That's how you have your cake, while you eat it Then after he got it home, he totalled it 3½ months later. I wonder if he'll sue me for that some day...
You have to be kidding. The fact that you knew zip about your car and you made $30K after a year of driving should make you happy. But no. Your greed and the fact that you didn't squeeze every penny out of a deal is making you lose sleep. God forbid someone else makes a living. Next time, do your homework. Sell your own car and maybe you will squeeze every penny. I'm sure you are a gem when the bill comes at a restaurant.
I think people need to understand that these are consumer items and you aren't buying into a family but a profit making business so at the end of the day all that will matter is money. In a deracinated culture people have become so desperate for an identity that corporations are happy to step in and fill the void in exchange for $$. This guy is all shocked that the dealer didn't have his best interest ahead of potential profit. Folks, welcome to America. The relationship is not about the "shared passion" and other delusions it's about the money. Morality has been replaced with market forces like "competition" and "self interest". Now he's mad that they didn't give him a bigger slice of the windfall for doing nothing but storing a car and complaining...
Bingo! Just because you didn't know what you needed to know in the first place is only one persons fault. If you knew something about the 599 you would have seen that the car was too low before buying it.
Sooooo let me get this straight. You are upset because you were only paid $30K to drive a Ferrari for a year? Now I know $30K is not Vettel money, but it's nothing to sneeze at! You said that you thought a stick in a 599 would be unique. Unique like six toes on one foot or unique like "I will make some serious bucks on the resale". Let's face it, that is what was on your mind all the time. That is why you, in your own words "I asked that the car be put back to the way it was built". Oh yes, then you said you couldn't put but 300 miles on it in a year's time because it was too low to handle normal driveways. Trust me, the guys here can tell you that these cars are much more fun on the open road than maneuvering driveways and parking lots! Now, here is where I agree with you. I would be pissed too! The same way that I would be upset if the guy in front of me at the checkout was the 1,000,000th customer, and won all kinds of prizes! I would be pissed, but I wouldn't try to discredit the store! Miller Motorcars has been in the business for years and has a great reputation, but I'm sure over those years, they have had a few buyers that were not satisfied. In that case, you take your business elsewhere. Do your homework next time. Forum members here would have been glad to give you advice before you made your decision. I doubt that they showed up at your doorstep with a briefcase full of cash and said that you had to make a decision immediately. I noticed that you have not contributed to fchat (paid or not) before. Only to discredit someone else like some disgruntled teenager on facebook! Goodbye sir! Dry your tears with all that money you just made!
just wasted 15 minutes reading the entire thread purely out of curiosity. 72 other commentators have pointed out your multiple foolishness. I'll point out simply that unless your lawyer is a personal friend he will never represent you in this complaint without a cash retainer - no litigator with any experience will ever take this case without cash up front. Writing a letter is one thing, getting involved in a baseless lawsuit quite another. Be happy you had a chance to drive a splendid car and pocket $30K minus your federal and state capital gains tax. P.S. the poster who offered to represent you without being admitted to practice law runs the serious risk of being charged with the unauthorized practice of law, a crime in most states. :-(
