    Yeah,,, saw a follow up story. It looks like a maybe some British plane spotters heard an IFE call and we're watching it on a flight tracker and assumed it crashed when it dropped off and they didn't see anyhting land.

    Oh that thing. Groom Lake DOD facility began experimenting with that and gave it to the 413th FTG to putter around the skies for a test, the details and mechanics of it are pretty interesting. For example, when at airspeed, American radar*******************************************************************

    Those tanker and transport guys are really going to miss Mildenhall's runway center line lighting when RAF Mildenhall closes and they have to land at RAF Lakenheath. I remember diverting to Mildenhall from RAF Lakenheath when something closed Lakenheath's runway. That centerline lighting was very comforting in typical English weather.
