Guys for the record, I decided tonight that I wanted to go personally visit Reza, simply to see if any of the claims made here were justified or if anything looked out of the ordinary, up to today I had not visited his personal residence even though I had investments with him...just wanted to see if there was a chance he was maybe hiding something...here is what I can tell you, I personally was lost in his house it is so damn big, never been in a house like his, his vehicle collection alone is gotta be worth 3 Million and there is no way his art interior of the house isn't worth millions too. He greeted me, did not hesitate to let me in and gave me a tour of his villa, introduced me to his beautiful little daughter and spent 2 hours cracking jokes and laughing with me...He also showed me many emails of him going back and forth with regulators to fix the issues and that it is all fixed. Here is my conclusion, unless you are giving him 50 million dollars I highly doubt there is any amount you could give this guys firm and worry that he would run away for, based on what I seen the guys net worth is no joke and to top it off the life he has he would be crazy if he ruined it for the small accusations on this board. Guys he's the real deal, one oddball of a guy with a childish personality but he's real. You don't live the way he does and scam people and have a clean criminal record. .If he was scamming he would have already either been in jail or charged and shut down and I believe he started the original thread years ago. I say leave him alone..The guy was beyond kind to me tonight, we laughed, we joked and everything I asked to see he opened his emails and laptop and showed me. There was no hint of him hiding anything. Rob I suggest you shut this thread down....he's a good guy, misunderstood but a good guy. I have seen what I needed to see and if he wants all of my money I'd give it to him in a heartbeat....He also explained to me why a lot of clients haven't been paid out and the amount are all very small and he showed me their accounts and how they had broken his terms and conditions and it actually states that if you are found guilty of malicious trading you will be shut down with your initial deposit being sent to you only...case and point he's solid. If you don't know him dont judge him. Cheers.

So you just randomly show up to "hang out" and he ends up showing you his other client's investment accounts? Sounds legit.

    Hi Tony,

    Let's assume you are right.

Regardless, Reza asked that it be put to a vote, and that he would send his 2 million fans to support him. I think it's only fair to play by the rules that he has set. Currently, out of the 2 million, only 20 have voted and more than 100 are in favour of leaving the content as is.

I also noticed that Reza is happy with the way things are as per his latest instagram message - this thread has increased his exposure getting him more views. I think this is a win win situation for both parties.

You do realize that Madoff was the creator of NASDAQ and worth many times more than what Reza is claiming, right? Just because someone has lots of money doesn't mean they're not a crook. People don't become crooks to live like a poor person.

Movie recommendation - go watch 'The Wolf of Wall Street'.

Yeah, and it had long died... until Reza himself came here demanding that it be removed. Reza. Reza. Reza. Nobody here gave a damn or was looking to pick on him - REZA resurrected the discussion of his trading capabilities and his claims. If he wanted to be left alone, the simple obvious choice would have been to leave it alone.

Wait, the regulators had multiple issues with Reza and his company? What sort of issues? How many? Customer complaints? Trading irregularities? Did Reza explain why his company was being delisted, and why his servers were shut down?

"A LOT of clients"??!! Seriously? What are the qualifiers to be considered "malicious trading"? Honestly, I've NEVER heard of such a ridiculous claim as that you'd lose your earnings in your account with a brokerage - So Reza figures I could trade for a year and make 500% (whatever the guaranteed 15% per month works out to), but if he decides in month 13 that I've made a "malicious" trade, I lose that 500% gain from all the prior months? Seriously? That sounds just fine to you, solid???? (Hint - most real brokerages would suspend your trading privileges, or unwind the "malicious" trades, or close your account and give you ALL your money back, depending on the severity of the infraction)

Honestly, go watch 'The Wolf of Wall Street', substitute 'Reza' everytime someone says 'Jordan'...

Bill Gates makes more in 1 day than Reza has made in his lifetime.

And Gates doesn't even have Instagram!

Again, any guy that needs friends to validate his worth isn't a guy that should be in any kind of honest business.

So this guy decides to keep everyone's money if they are found guilty of malicious trading? Did you ask yourself who finds them guilty? After that question is answered. A. Reza b. The government. If its a and Reza keeps the profits it would be no different then robbing a bank robber. If its B, I am sure the brokerage firm would have to surrender the clients funds to the government.

Did you ask him what is malicious trading? Did you catch the fact he accused his customers of being criminals?

Perhaps any trade that would be better suited paying a Lambo lease. Until corrected by Reza, that is what I'm going with.

    Welcome Bill!

Interesting reading over on your forum about this guy. Since a lot of us don't understand, can you elaborate on the whole Forex trading model? Specifically the trading platforms? CTM's was shut down, who makes that call? Is it a regulatory body, CTM itself or the owner of the software? I'm asking because there are people saying that he's back online and that gives them confidence. Should the fact that his trading platforms are on line give them confidence? It seems to me until people can withdraw their funds they shouldn't have any confidence.

If you're ever in South FL, I've got your ride waiting for you.

    Thanks,

    Duane

Hello. Bill may chime in later but I can try to explain the things the best I can.

-CTM is/was a Forex Brokerage firm. Just like other stock brokerage firms (Fidelity, Scottrade or E-Trade). Clients open an account with CTM, deposit funds and trade for himself or herself. All the profit & loss is client's responsibility, just like with another brokerage. Sometimes a client can choose a fund manager to manage the trading but CTM did not advertise any services to manage client's trading.

-Most of other brokerage use software to display price quotes and an interface to place orders and see your account balance. CTM was using a software called 'Metatrader 4' which is most popular software of this type. This is released by a Russian company Metaquotes. Metatrader 4 software (MT4) connects to trade servers to get price feed and place trades. Many small Forex brokerages who do not have much resources probably outsource the management of these trade servers to Metaquotes. These trade servers went down on Monday evening. So no one could place a trade or most importantly close an existing trade. This is very bad sign since it only happens when a Forex brokerage company is folding. I lost about 20% of my account balance since I was not able to close many loosing trades and price kept on marching towards unfavorable direction.

-Although Trade servers were down and CTM's facebook page was taken off-line; their main web page was still up at CapitalTrustMarkets.com. A client can usually see his account balance on the secured client area on the website. However when trade serves went down, CTMs website was showing zero balance for everyone. My guess is that main web portal pulls client's account information from Trade servers. My guess is that CTM did not pay Metaquotes and Metaquotes pulled the plug on MT4 trade servers. So imagine that your brokerage is delaying your withdrawals, then boom trade servers go down and you discovered that you brokerage is desisted by regulatory body 2 weeks earlier.

-Now Trade servers are back online, but I doubt anyone would dare open a trade anymore. However main issue is that even before trade servers went down, people were not able to withdraw their funds. Usually you deposit few thousand bucks. You are inexperienced and lose 20-30% of account balance and you want to withdraw rest of the balance. But for last few months client's withdrawal requests were not honored and people were posting about withdrawal issues on FPA forum. People were even posting on the facebook page of CTM to ask for their withdrawal status. And then boom, trade servers go down.

So this is my version of explanation of Forex trading model.
    Regards.

Edit: Just to clear things up, I don't believe that trade servers were shutdown by regulatory authorities. Most of these trade servers are located in New York and others in Europe (Germany, UK etc) and even non-regulated brokers in places like Belize can have access to these servers without any regulatory oversight.
