Just sharing. Don't really agree with the video.

FYI, Carguy is the same guy that took his F40 Camping.

If you look closely, you'll see he fitted the F40 with Rally-spec studded snow-tires.

Let's get the VIN on that car so we know not to purchase it in the future!

Strange post....why? Because he is using his cars for fun?
Driving with 50 km/h in the snow does not kill your F40. Not driving it much more.....

    Ciao

And BINGO was its name. As mentioned previously it IS just a car. I would beat the shat out of my F40 (if I could afford one) gathering "patina" and memories.

Wild guess: family money. I'm all for enjoying/driving the cars but at some point, there is a lack of respect for the cars as art and how they were meant to be driven. It is one thing someone wrecking on a track, but pulling people down a ski slope just to show off how much money someone has... pathetic.

Some people can buy up pricey art pieces and then paint over them, or use them as place mats.

Just my take on it. Looks more like showing off than anything more. As for "beating the shat" out of an F40... If I could afford an F40, I would drive it but also respect and take care of it. Again, different views I guess. I wouldn't take my F40 camping, pull people down a ski slope and have snow boarders jump over it...

Not sure I see to much lack of respect or abuse...the cars were carefully delivered in tow trucks, dropped off on soft snow, that has no rocks or salt, driven around a bit with appropriate tires, then taken away again. Very little abuse seen...even the Aventador only spun its wheels stationary just a few times without moving. Then a tow hook was attached to the appropriate area, as designed by the manufacturer, and the car was taken to the smoothed out track...

It's just fun and two cool cars getting wet with water...loosen up.

Not that it matters, but a Delta S4 or 205 T16 would mop the floor with either the lambo or F40 on gravel or snow, but good for these guys to enjoy the cars as they wish albeit with negligible, if any, abuse...

    I'm with you Dave.

Key words in your post: family money, lack of respect for the cars, showing off.

    I'll add: attention-seeking, bored kids, & pointless.

    Taxtherich come to mind.

I've suggested before, if someone really wants to impress us & prove they use their F40 (I've no problem with that), why not take it Historic Racing, or, participate in one of the major Transcontinental Rallies in South America, Africa, Europe, Asia or Australia to show us what the F40 can really do. I say any of the above will be even more fun, and much more satisfying. Then you've actually accomplished something too.

    Ok, it's silly. Agreed.

    They want the attention? Sure.

Again, I don't see any real abuse of the cars, so if they want to behave like spoiled kids, it is what it is.

Having the Sno Cat pull the F40 up the mountain is just so idiotic I don't even know where to begin.

I have to say it really brought a smile to my face. Ok agree with all the previous posts suggesting more money than sense etc and that fact the whole notion is silly, however they seemed to enjoy themselves and had some good fun. Its clear that he does not care what he's doing to the residuals of his car, but heck provided he didn't do any serious damage to it, which I can't see has happened, the car could be fixed/cleaned and ready to go on its next adventure! Why not I say......?

    On the same page.

BTW, to clarify -- I have no issue w/family money. Hopefully my own kids will be from "family money" by that time. Hopefully I'll teach them to appreciate things regardless of where they come from.

I have a nice car. Not an F40 but (knock on wood) I'm on "pace" to get to that point. I drive my car, and I like the fact that kids say "nice car" and get to hear an engine revving, all in good fun. Reminds me of when I was a kid. Being part of rallies with the cars, getting them out in the public, are all great. Those on here who drive their cars, regardless of value, again I appreciate.

The tone in this guy's pictures/videos seem far removed from enthusiasm for the cars. Looks more like showing off, not caring about the cars, etc. Maybe it's because the F40 is a dream car for me -- even if 1,300+ were built, I enjoy it when I see enthusiasts driving/owning the car.

Flip side. I'm a free market believer and people can do what they want to do with things they've paid for... I just interpret how I do, and it looks like spoiled brats showing off, end of story :)

Maybe its because he has his logo everywhere? I agree with you guys about showing off etc- BUT- I have to admit- I enjoyed watching the video. :) The F40 looks just amazing especially against the snow, which is not a usual backdrop.

Here's not one, but two F40s in the snow at the same time.

Agreed they do look amazing in the snow and anyone would admit that it looks like fun.

But there's no denying that the Japanese F40 owner's stunt is all a little pointless, whereas fielding the car in a proper event would be meaningful and would allow more people to share in the car doing what it can really do.

Here's a guy that I'm not sure what to think.

He knows the track is icy, yet pushes on.

Abuse of a beautiful machine? A real car guy? A fool? Too much money for his own good?

    You decide.

I'm cool with this, in the end it's just a big chunk of kevlar, metal and rubber.

I'd give an arm and a leg for that chunk, though :D

Elitist? Misguided? You gotta be kidding... sorry, but I agree w/the other poster... I would rather have the car cared for by someone who dreamt of owning it rather than the car used for Youtube videos driving down ski slopes...

I just find it interesting when I see these videos where someone is driving their car and know they aren't going to be going fast enough to require a helmet, but feel the need for full Nomex. You know ... just in case.
