Would you mind posting a photo of the chassis number plate and a few more of the car so we all know about it if it ever does come to market?

    You know, just in case.

    NO.

It is dishonest and the MILES Driven are actually a source of PRIDE for many here.

It is a car. If you Don't Drive It, WHY Own it?

There is more than enough museum pieces in the world.

The ODO disconnect procedure depends on the VIN. Please post VIN number.

    This does raise the question,

Can this truly be done? If so, Is this an easy procedure?

It makes me very wary & cautious !

If your car is in perfect condition, the KMs you put on it on a long trip, are not going to change it from an award winning show car to something that is mere driver quality. So it would seem more like an issue with value and resale than overall condition.

If you can't enjoy driving it due to value, perhaps you should just sell it now and get something you are more comfortable driving rather than doing things to your Ferrari that are illegal and unethical.

A wrench and about 30 seconds. 45 seconds if you are slow and never before turned a wrench.

If you think you car has only the Miles/Kms shown on the ODO, you are probably, but not always, WRONG.

Mine shows 34K miles. That is a flat out lie. (It has LESS :D).

Alext, that is like forcing your life partner to have cosmetic surgery against their wish. You will always know that under that taunt lines rests an old dog and you will be punished even more so when the craters fall in eventually. Just look at Meg Ryan. I used to be in love with her with her graceful maturing in years....and than she tried to stop her natural odometer and look what happened. The F God is going to be merciless on you if you undertake this endeavor. Don't pull a Reza Mokhtarian!

You may never sell the car, but at some point, the car will be sold.

Yes, please post the VIN, just so we can know.

Your thinking is exactly why I don't trust dealers selling cars without paperwork. To me I think it is very honorable for someone to put honest miles on their car. They were meant to be driven and cared for, not like you are thinking and just being afraid to have miles show on the odometer. I love that I can put a million miles on my Porsche and it doesn't affect it's value as long as it's maintained. I admit I feel differently about putting mileage on my 308's but I would never lie or deceive anyone about the true miles during my ownership. I know someone who just bought an '84 QV with 81k miles and he was proud of the fact the car was driven and he "really" doesn't care because he plans to drive the car as much as he possibly can, now that is cool and honorable.

Its just a 308 for heaven's sake - its probably not showing the original mileage anyway and the value is never going to be hugely affected (in the big scheme of things) by a few more or less miles - its worth 10 % of some cars and less than 1 % of others

    Just drive it

Ok guys...It was a stupid question....but I was not kidding anybody and i didn't want to do it for illegal reason. We all know that NO ONE of our cars have the right miles on the odo...and this is because ALL of our speedometer sensors got broken...an other thing is that if you really want to stop the odometer for illegal reasons...the easiest way is to disconnect the speedometer sensor or manipulate the odo to sell it with lower miles......

Well if you like put bigger diameter tires on your car, your odometer will record more slowly and you'll fell that much better about it...bigger tires, bigger smile...(you can also go faster on the spedo than you really are going, great for bench racing with your friends at the bar etc...yup boys I was going 80...in first gear!!!)....

    Hey Guyz,

I just bought this awesome 308 from this local guy who says it's a special edition and it's worth over 100K! He needed the money so I paid him less than that and I love it and all but things change in life and now I need to sell. One thing that bothered me about the car was that it didn't have the yellow horsey thing on the front but he said he took it off becuase he was getting too much attention LOL. Before I sell it I want to put the Ferrari horse thing on the nose like I've seen on other Ferraris- where do I get one? Are there other missing things that you can see? I want to make sure the next buyer KNOWS its a Ferrari.

If anyone here wants it I'll give you the best price because you love Ferrari as much as I do. I attach a pic so you can see how awesome it is.

Thanks, and if you can PM me that odometer rollback trick too I'd appreciate it. I have a 1994 Nissan 240SX that I love and will keep forever but I hate putting mileage on it because, sicologically speaking, it kills me to see the numbers climb. I lose sleep over it. Also, my uncle owns a shop here in town and would like to know this one trick too.

    Thanks!

    Very special indeed.

Gas tank door is not on the usual side.

Luigi and the two bottle of vino over spagetti lunch again, I bet. :(

Oh, the quirks we find on hand-built cars. ;)
