you must be out of the loop... the *in* thing now is to make a CS look like a Modena instead of the other way around, so that CS is now equipped with Modena wheels, mirrors, side skirts and front bumper complete with egg crate grills. ha! real pics now available Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
you gotta love black cs, coz the challenge grille is natually black and you don't want 2 colors on 1 car. uh oh, that was actually me.
Are you talking about the amount of insurance or a stated value. State Farm won't write stated value ( I have asked) but they let you have 15/30 or 250/500 or more. They really don't care about that. In fact, they will insure kit cars as long as there is sufficient market to establish a value. Same issue as above; they won't insure for more than replacement cost.
duh, that's why you need to match challenge grill to car color haha Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
wait, if matchy matchy is overrated then go complete contrast... eeks Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
hi CS guru, got a question that I've always wanted to ask you Do you have a list of CS OEM parts that was made of carbon fiber. Inspired by the carbon fiber steering wheel thread , I just wondered again.
Stokpro, The car in your avatar, do you know the last few #'s of the VIN? I have one that looks just like it in my showroom. G
had to post my CS.... no offense but that yellow and red CS is well....... buzy!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
u no likey? couple more for your enjoyment. lol u gotta luv the stripe even on the rear lid c/f braces. oh, and the red grills on rear lid and side scoops. most of the owner's modern fcars are done in the yellow & red combo. to each his own, i guess. I wish. I tried that 3 times now (twice by my broker and I even called the insurance company directly myself). They want an appraisal even though there is ample evidence in the public domain. Pissing me off... No one knows how to get one of these?
I spoke to my State Farm agent today, and she suggested that I go with an "agreed value" policy (maximum value $250K). She said I'd have to get my Stradale appraised. I'll contact my dealer and ask them if they can appraise my car. I have no idea if they will or not. BTW, my normal policy (with max coverage, $1000 collision deductible and $0 comprehensive) is $800 per year. The "agreed value" policy with the same coverage is about $1,400 per year. Seems fair to me.
Looked at the CS in Fort Lauderdale today and it looks quite clean. I can tell the front bumper has been taken off and needs to be mounted on a little higher to minimise the gap. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Funny, I stopped by there today also and checked out that CS... beautiful, clean condition. The salesman I talked to advised that it is "sold". I tried to get a price out of him, but he wouldn't tell me. He advised that they DID NOT get their $299K asking price, but "close to it". That being said, I did not see a "sold" sign on the car and he also told me that they had a Scud across the street that had sold and then was available again. (so take the "sold" on the CS with a grain of salt and if you are interested, make a call). Lots of 458 Spiders available there along with a nice selection of other Ferrari's.
Yeah plenty of 458s laying around there... Asked to have my 458 Spider washed but they were too busy and it was too late in the day. Funny, one of the guys mentioned that the Stradale is still available? Too confusing...!???
Finding a stradale for sale in South FL is pretty rare so they demand what they like. 458s are much more common and more likely to negotiate better in my experience.
