Yep, we were running away from a storm cell. We unfortunately had to split from there before the sky opened up.
Red 348 with bronze wheels heading south on Colorado at 6th this morning. Car looked / sounded great! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just saw your car again at Starbucks this morning. Looks so nice! Got a chance to peek inside and the seats look amazing. Didn't realize it was a Challenge. I saw the plates you have so was wondering if there were any issues being street legal? Best 348 I've seen. As I was looking at your car and helping a lady who lost her cell phone in a street drain, a red FF rolled by. I made a comment to the guy next to me about it raining Ferraris and he looked at me funny and said "Ferrari makes a hatchback?" Laughed pretty hard at that. I like the FF but seem to be in the minority... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I was sitting right there with my girlfriend. I was wondering what that lady was doing. 348 Challenges are the only true street legal challenges. But I don't want to put a front plate on and have that plate so I just use it. As soon as I get a proper plate clip so that I can just put a plate on the front when parked, it will have regular CO plates.
Ryan, I believe '95 355 challenge cars are street legal, or at least registerable. There was a guy around here about 10 years ago who had one he drove on streets, mostly back and forth to tracks. I think he was found out to be a con man on the run and disappeared. I'm pretty sure Ferrari sold kits and dealers installed them on customers' cars. I recall visiting Shelton's in '95 and they showed me some cars being so modified. Dave
I was the guy in the blue sweater drooling on your windows ha. Will try and find you to say hello next time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Dave, the 355 Challenge in 1995 could only be ordered (factory or kit) if you were going to race the series so all had to have the full cage installed and other things that would make it not street legal. I'm not saying that they cannot be street registered but obviously a car with a full roll cage and no lights isn't exactly street legal. That's why I say that the 348 Challenge is the only truly street legal of the Challenge cars. Plus it's only the 1995 355's that can have titles. i guess I wasn't paying attention but I did notice the fingerprints on the window when I got in the car.
Great info, thanks. Prints wouldn't be mine, that would like putting your hands on another guy' girl, tempting but trouble... ha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
One of my favorite looking 458's from Park Meadows CC Saturday. A Super nice TDF Blue 599 today. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Last night on Alamada, 2 Quattroportes and a V8 Vantage. A little bit later I saw a heavily modified Exige and an RS7 on Colorado Blvd.
Saw a red 430 spider headed up the west side of Independence Pass. I was headed down in my 430. Lots of waving and lights flashing. Dave
I was in the Challenge car today and pulled up next to a new titanium California T on crowded Colorado blvd. Very nice owner and I exchanged some words while waiting for traffic to clear.
Yesterday around 4:30 on Ken Caryl heading west, Silver 360 Spider, Tan racing seats. A car I have not seen before.
This afternoon I-225, also a Huracan last Tues evening at Mills Mall, good times! Image Unavailable, Please Login
This morning, 11:00ish, two 458s (one red, one blue) flying north on C470 heading toward I70 interchange. I was a few cars back in the 348 and thought about trying to catch up but I needed to bail at Alameda and fuel up at Brad's Conoco. Then around 3:45 or so Lambo Murci on Kipling at 6th Ave, pulled into the Volero gas station. Nice day to be out.
