I've got a red Mondial T that was originally delivered in verde scuro "with contrasting bottom". I would like to have it repainted in its original color, but don't really know what they mean with "contrasting bottom". Do they mean than the lower parts of the front and rear bumper and sides are painted black? Who has a verde scuro example to check this?

I checked many pictures of mondials in verde scuro but can't differentiate "contrasting" green colors. It looks like 1 single green tone.

On the pictures you can see the green color it had 5 years ago, and the red color it has today.

Would love to see a verde chiaro Mondial (or even 348). It was a color that was offered, but don't think I've seen a single photo of one.

Yes, it's the 603. I'm not completely out of the woods here, shall I leave it red or have it done in green... Green is much rarer, but eventually I would sell it (pure theoretically :) and then again, red sells much better than dark green.

From an economic point of view, leave the color alone. You have the cost of repainting and the reduction in value (to most folks) as you note, it will not be "resale red" (although it will be back to original "green").

But I don't generally make decisions on my cars based on resale. Could be 10 days or 10 years down the road. If you intend to keep for a while, drive the car you want, not what the next person may want.

    Regards,
    Jerry

Decision made! It's going to remain red. But it's going to get a repaint job because there are some small rust spots and you can see some drops in the current paint. Also the hole in the roof where the antenna was will be filled. Finally, the lower sides will be painted black again.

I'm fixing a dent in my Mondie, and I grinded that area for new paint, found out that my red car has originally been green too,.. Have to say overspraying to red is done really well, haven't found green paint from any hidden places etc,.. Maybe in the future it's gonna be green again,.. Surely I understand why it's been resprayed, dark green ain't a match color for Ferrari,.. One clue for green would been paint code sticker, but, what the heck, never read what the sticker says, and otherwise, my Italy, there might read anything,... :D

Anyone toted up the color vote counts yet?

I have already voted for my own Prugna Metallica (I bought it on the spot). The only colors I would not have considered were red, white and black. I also like the subdued 'elegant' colors on these cars. And that green? I would need to see it in person. I suspect its drop dead gorgeous though.

That green is lovely in the flesh, saw one years ago at the Francorchamps circuit and it was jaw-dropping beautiful.
I agree on the red and black,I'd throw in yellow as well. Missed out on this one many years ago:

    enzo,

I entirely agree with you on the yellow. Mondials are not loudly designed cars. Those flashy colors are very good on the two seaters I think. I am going to try to post another photo of my Prugna Metallica. I don't think it worked last time.
