Wasn't ready for that one. I thought about some of the things you'd mentioned in regards to the interior amongst some other factors in terms of timing. I will be back though I still haven't quite given up the search for the right CS for me :)

Here's a partial list of differences between a 360 and a CS (thanks to 360trev for most of the detailed info). Looks like you could have a fun conversion project ahead of you.

    Updated Front bumper
    Updated rear bumper
    Rear diffuser
    Sharper Side skirts
Underbody tray (50% lighter than Modena)
Lexan back window with Carbon Fiber grills and braces
Lexan side windows optional outside US
    Thinner and lighter windshield
    Titanium lugnuts
    Titanium springs
Carbon Fiber door panels, sills, center console
    Carbon Fiber seat shells
    Carbon Fiber intake filter boxes
    Carbon Fiber mirrors
Carbon Fiber panels (water shields) in engine compartment
Indented gas door with polished cavallino
    CCM brakes
    19" Challenge style wheels
    Pirelli Corsa tires
    Low back pressure exhaust
    Titanium exhaust tips
    Launch Control
    Mass air flow sensor
    Valve spring positioning
Claimed special engine component selection, machining and polishing
New engine and F1 transmission mapping firmware

Rear engine lid (had revised more protruding 'nulder' for downforce)
Uprated clutch (to handle Launch Control)
Uprated driveshafts (to handle Launch Control)
Engine bay to passenger compartment glass - thinner, lighter.
Due to fitment of CF engine panels and CS sports exhaust, they also a pair of fitted heat shields
Free flowing air box resonator (less airflow restriction)
The MAF (Mass Airflow Sensors) a pair of bigger ones where used to stop air restrictions at the very top end of the revs (for squeezing the last few bhp out).
Dashboard instrumentation facia clocks revised, rev counter in bright yellow
Dashboard instrumentation facia cover in carbon
Dashboard heater controls facia cover in carbon (smaller, deleing stereo space)
Dashboard lower (revised, deleting glovebox and stereo box, less weight)
New s/w for dash clocks (including CCM brakes wear algorithm and race mode graphics among other updates)
    New s/w for suspension tcu
New s/w for abs controller (in addition to the already noted ignition ecu's (pair) and transmission ecu)
New s/w settings for throttle maps (much more sensitve)
New s/w settings for valve opening (opens later than on a Modena)

*Optional deletion of the radio (weight saving)
*Optional selection of Carbon seat size (small, medium or large)
*Optional choice of racing seat belt harnesses (not all markets)
*Optional lightweight CS specific Aluminum roll over bar (Modena one was made from Steel)

On the blueprinting of the engine, all 360's engines were blueprinted but to within 2% tolerances when bench tested. On the CS that tolerance was down to just 0.5% so the selection of pistons, conrods, etc. was obviously more precise hence CS's should be virtually idential in power between one and another (from factory), this will change somewhat as they get miles under their wheels and depending on how well looked after they are.

Revised ABS calibration (software, abs kicks in less easily)
Revised Electronic Suspension mapping (software), normal replaced with sport, race added.
    Revised Ignition Maps (more power)
Revised Throttle Maps (sharper, more sensitive)
Revised Software in Dashboard (including algorithm for CCM wear)
Uprated rear anti-roll bar (uprated 20% and hollow for less weight, improved handling, less pitch and roll, improved rear end control, same as used on 430 Scuderia)
Uprated anti-roll bar bushes (from 360 Challenge cars, improved handling at expense of some ride quality)
Uprated upper and lower arm bushes (from 360 Challenge cars, improved handling at expense of some ride quality)
*Replacement lower arms from later chassis numbers (stops cracking problems from the stiffer chassis)
Uprated damper bushes (from 360 Challenge cars, improved handling at expense of some ride quality)
Uprated driveshafts (lighter and stronger to survive launch control)
Uprated Clutch (slightly uprated, improved longevity)
Revised Ride height (front lower than rear for improved aero, lower center of gravity, overall lower than 360)
    Revised Geometry settings (better handling)

Those differences more than change it into a completely different model.

When I was car shopping a few years ago, the choice was a 360 or a Gallardo. Drove both and the Gallardo was hands down the better car. So, I was 'G' shopping.

By chance I drove a CS, and WOW! The CS is a huge difference from the Modena and that's why there's a CS in the garage.

actually it does....a lot...i don't practise IP matters as it is a very niche area of the law and its too dry for me, but all I can say is that what something is called matters a lot, much more than you think....my 2 cents, u allow the "branding" of something to be diluted, in any way, and down the line, there will be an impact....end of the day, what something is worth is a matter of perception and desirability which directly impacts demand-supply...it'a tonnes of reading and understanding case laws but that's pretty much it is in a nut-shell..... will give an example, in the 90s Xerox paid millions in advertising in the US to urge people to not call or to refer to photocopying as "Xerox-ing"...despite the fact that associating photocopying with the brand was actually "free advertising" and some argued that it can't be detrimental to the brand, and in fact might be doing the opposite....but in reality, what Xerox was trying to do was to protect its brandname being assocs. with every other machine which did the same thing, prob at a fraction of the cost...anyway, enough of that, hope i answered your question....

I really don't care what my CS is called, as long as there's Challenge Stradale in it I'm okay with it.

Let's make it simple, how about a "Stradale"?
I know quite a few CS owners including myself, just call it Stradale.

    Cheers!

;-) i'm sure anyone can call their cars whatever they want....but stradale which means "the road" is also used by other manufacturers and the MC Stradale currently on sale by Maserati is a good example!

The CS or Stradale is how we call it here. The car people here all know what I mean when I talk about "The Stradale". Yes it means "the road", yes there's also a MC Stradale...but this car is known by a lot of people as a Stradale. I've always thought Ferrari named it the Challenge Stradale, without the 360 prefix.

I don't really care what it's called. All I know is my CS is completely different than the 360 (Spider, manual) I used to own. Same car platform sure, but to me it's a totally different car and driving experience. But maybe I am biased after all these years... :D
