    Not only are the wing end-plates of the 4.0 RS larger than those of the 3.8 RS, the bottom of the plates are slightly curved (as opposed to being flat).

    Ah this old "battle cry" appears every few years, and Porsche has a point, yet they have the 918 that has a "combined" 887HP and 944ft-lbs., what's up with that? I do not think they have anything to worry about as their 911/C GTS with only 430HP finished first against its direct rivals (the F-Type R and the AMG-GTS) that have over 500HP.

    Good post.

    We hear this Wolf-Cry lamenting the power race every now-and-then from various manufacturers.

    I tend to take with a pinch of salt all press proclamations of this sort.

    That said, the new RS is no power increase over the last at all, and its a heavier car too.
