What was the outside temp? do you recall the low and high side pressures?

Sorry for the question, last one; how hard does it blow? like can you feel it on your face?

I ask because, mines blowing about 55-60 degrees when it was 90+ outside and mine does not blow very hard. Going to start diagnosing it.

It was in the mid 80's outside and after about 30 minutes of driving in local city traffic. The dash blower works very well, similar to my 2011 Liberty, but not quite as forceful as the Mondial 3.2 Coupe that I recently sold.

I've been recently resolving the a/c electricals but needed some pressure to ops check everything. So I added some Freon to the low side but still need a full system service to be sure.

This is the first time I've experienced a Ferrari Freezer. :D

Speaking of... no frosted lines or iced up components anywhere.

You do realize at that temp if the passenger is female, you will turn the headlights on! Nice job! :)

    ;-)

BTW, Wade-- are you running R12 or 134a?

    Perks! :D

According to the previous owner and the service/maintenance records it has Freeze 12, which is a blend of R-134a and R-142b (80/20 respectively). It was a little low so I gave it a shot of R-134a (Interdynamics 's EZ Chill).

Thanks. Never tried Freeze 12 but seems like maybe I should!

Swapped out the controller with one from a 95 Spider, now the system seems to be much more stable.

I just came back from a 30 minute drive in the Florida heat (85° or so) and the inside temps varied between 50° and 60°.

I don't think that I've had a colder A/C in any car, ever. So I must have done something wrong. :)

Telling myself, "in the meantime... just enjoy."

First pic, pulled over after about 15 minutes. Then back in the garage.
