You make some good points but how could he NOT think that people have him figured out? (Especially being so much smarter than you and I?) That's the pathological part of it.

The word has been out for years judging by the complaints going back to 2011 or so, he couldn't sustain the ponzi that was Capital Trust Markets and the authorities ARE COMING.

I think he's broke, grasping at straws and blaming everyone but himself..

the person who posted the links, many, seems to have a strong notion of finding anything related to Reza and his 'story'.

 

This is Canada, its rare for people to be criminally arrested and charged criminally with any type of securities fraud.

As I pointed out my former dentist (also a client of my Fathers) started a hedge fund. Inflated his returns, invested the money in companies he controlled, took investors for $90million. He was fined $7.3million. That was his only punishment.

The biggest fraud in Canadian history is here: Bre-X - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia note nobody went to jail!

 

That is very unfortunate. I know most here probably agree but those type of decisions are made by people that fail to understand that what is lost is the part of your life spent earning what was stolen and is probably unrecoverable. For some it may well be everything and if you are at a late point in life its devastating.

But I guess there as here you cannot count on any better from public servants.


I know a lot of people that he should be very grateful he did not steal from. They would not be looking for a lawyer.

 

It is unfortunate. I'm sure my dentist took peoples life savings and put others years behind financially. He does deserve jail.

Canadian laws and enforcement however almost protects scam artists.

Not the best profession for females. Most female Real Estate Agents don't know how dangerous being alone in a house can be with just about anybody walking in at any time. My Father was the President of TREB and he tried to educate the profession as best he could. There are simple things you can do to protect yourself. For instance always be the last person into a room. Never go into the basement....etc.....Never meet anybody alone. Work in teams....The list goes on.
