Status 40 - Speciale

I just found out from my dealer my 458S is now in status 40. No pictures from the factory yet but here are some renders Anna did for me after spec'ing my car in Maranello.

Outstanding - what is your expected delivery date?

 

When? When did you meet Anna and when was your build date?

I worked with Anna in February and was supposed to have a May build and I am still at Status 10 with no hope in sight.

 

Ferrari of TB just told me it's in status 40 yesterday.. I have no idea when it will be delivered.

 

I was with Anna on Feb 13th and the order was complete a couple of weeks after that. I had to wait for the renders as we had a few different designs for the stripe and a lot of other little extras.

 

Thanks, I got the idea from this board and had 2-3 designs to choose from. I think they charge by the millimeter because that little extra paint was costly

 

Remember your build date? In theory I should be a few weeks behind you?

 

I didn't ever get an official build date, at least not one that was shared with me. All I see on the website is the order date. Which isn't really the order date since it took weeks after that to finalize the details.

 

Hopefully soon - would love to see it in person: Great spec!!!!

I recommend - if you haven't already specc'd it - to have your car delivered with XPEL or similar to protect your front end artwork.

After one year my Speciale is having a respray to remove the countless chips, and will have XPEL added (round the winglets too). The car pick up chips like crazy, nothing to do with how this incredibly superb car makes you drive it

 

My build date is May and so far it hasn't been built. Last Speciale from my dealer ship had a February build date that just NOW went to status 40.

Frustrating.

 

My order was finalized April 14th. May 8th I received the first photo...a couple of days later the second. And finally a week later the third picture showed up. Interesting how they could have moved that rapidly, but I'm not complaining. Expected delivery sometime in July.

Does anyone know how the factory allocates time to which particular builds? You would think that its first in, first out.

 

I don't remember the color names off the top of my head but the white and blue are both tri-color paint and picked to match the blue I did on the inside of the car.

 

I'm having the paint corrected and the entire car wrapped in XPEL before delivery. I'm contemplating doing the matte. I'm going to have 1 panel done to see if I like it first.

 

As to the A that is in stage 40, was the date of your order and the expected delivery date and did your car have special paint or extraordinary extras?

Cool. On Grigio matte sounds like a really neat idea. Mine's TdF with white Nart. Wanted to keep the gloss.

Out of interest, what colour calipers have you gone for?
