While at Miller Motorcars yesterday for their "Cinque Ferrari Event" (five generations of supercars; see thread and photos in NY Tri-State Region part of this site), I saw a beautiful and, I think, pretty rare 250 GT SWB. I am no expert, but some quick research led me to believe that this is one of seven (?) 250 GT SWB Interim models. What stood out to me immediately is the quarter window missing from the very familiar 250 GT SWB. I was told this car is headed for display on the Cavallino Classic.

Sweet Jeebus that is one of the most beautiful cars... Those lines! Tasteful and flowing stripe. Per-fncking-fection.

    Thanks for the pics.

BTW : an interim is necessarily a 250 GT LWB (2.600mm wheelbase), not SWB (2.400mm wheelbase)...

To be correct there is no "SWB Interim" berlinetta, as it has the long wheelbase 2600mm.

The Body is very similar to the SWB but its a LWB Interim Berlinetta.

...oh Cyril was faster than me!

Interesting.. i didn't realize that the 250 GT interim cars had a longer wheelbase. I just went and looked at pictures of Lulu Wang's car and sure enough it does look slightly longer than a 250 GT SWB. I have seen it in person many times and never noticed. Thanks for the information.

This car is the last iteration of the TdF isn't it? It is essentially the fourth TdF body style.

    I agree.

Who was credited with designing and building the body, Scaglietti or Pininfarina ?

Design by Pinifarina. 1st car (1377GT) built by Pininfarina.

The six others cars built by Scaglietti...

I had the chance to see it at Villa d'este this year in May. It is owned by the American collector PP who is a nice man and been a collector forever. Here is the picture. For more great Ferraris follow me on Instagram here

Excellent picture showing the differences to the 58 single louver behind. In my view the tdf was the prettier car at that stage car until they shortened the chassis and revised the rear quarter light. Do they all survive ?

1523GT is gone. Destroyed in a racing accident in period. 1523 is the last one built and was the Gendebien car. Last I knew, 1521 had at least one of the bumpers from 1523 installed during its restoration by Bodin.

At least one of these Interims had the outside plug 128DF motors originally installed.

Thanks for the answer. If not a secret, where such confidence? In what year the car looked like in the photo.
