Surely those radio messages are sailing close to the wind? If it were up to me there would be NO messages other than "come in to the pits", or "retire the car because it's about to blow up".

Yep, agreed. Again, always been that way, always will be. It's just more "obvious" here than most places. Lets hope so....... Allowing refueling would help of course!
On a non overtaking track the main aim would be to get pole or get the jump at the start, ask Lewie Ham how that is done ..
