Where do you read that Lewis also made the call though, he didn't allude to anything like that in the interview?

I'd love to know what Rosberg says to Seb in German...'got him good this time Seb, snivelling Pom...just look as if we feel apologetic for the cameras'.

I didn't read it, he said it afterwards in the pitlane with the Sky guys. Both he & the team (Toto) basically admitted it was a mutual decision and they screwed up.

Lol...I bet Seb was saying "You're lucky I didn't jump your arse in the pits, otherwise YOU'D be in third"

Seb looked pretty happy inheriting second. I didn't see any sympathy from him.

Weird then that Mercedes/Toto is apologizing to Lewis on twitter though, accepting that it was their fault and not Lewis?

Hadn't watched an F1 race for a while, but tuned this one in. Boring. Last Moyogp race, multiple passes on one lap. F1 was a parade.

I think he was snivelling more than whinging tonight! Do feel sorry for him - he deserved to win.

Can't work out how Toto Wolff and his team can be 3.5 seconds out in the math!

As they door-stop interviewed Wolff he said it was a math miscalculation of 3.5 seconds. Maybe Lewis was told incorrect information against which they made the judgement for the pit stop. Don't see why Wolff would admit this if it wasn't true. The visuals of him and the two key strategists 'reviewing' the decision atop of the pits was amazing...he seemed VERY annoyed and trying to keep his cool!

Between all this, Lewis has his own engineer which has lewis' best interest at heart. Between Lewis, engineer and strategy team they got it wrong. Buy then again. It's a simple calculation. Time ahead minus time to navigate pitlane including stop = ahead or not. I dont buy that an entire team can not make a simple subtraction. Especially by that much.

Shoulda doesn't count in racing unless someone cheated. Lewis was the fastest, but the team let him down. That's racing.....

He is a rather poor sport about it, though...

I think he is showing good sportsmanship, all things considered...

Does anyone really expect him to be smiling and congratulatory? Actually, he did congratulate both Nico and Seb.

Agreed on the first part - Many, many, "woulda, coulda, shoulda" moments in racing.

Disagree on the second though - Sure, he was pissed off, and we know he wears his heart on his sleeve, but I thought he was pretty gracious about the whole mess.

I thought hitting the third place bollard was pretty damn cool. I hope he did it on purpose.

I guess you love all the overtaking in the taxicab races too?

Monaco is always a "parade" - Nature of the beast. Don't like it? Don't watch.

Wolff seems pretty pleased that Ham isn't skewering the team in the media, but rather accepting that he is part of the team. I think he's got it right this time.

You must have watched a different race than me.
I found it embarrasing how he avoided to own up to it and how he had to show all along how he would have could have should have (see above).

I know race drivers that failed and managed to gain huge sympathy in that. Today just showed the opposite to me. It was childish behavior. He tried to hide away from the world and wanted to park his car somewhere pretending it had broken?? seriously? Then this evasive nonsense in the interview and bumping the sign? A lot of childishness... Oh and he wanted to walk away from the interview...

This all showed how pissed off he was yes... And I immediately thought he must be pissed off with himself. If it was the team he would just whine for a bit and be done. My immediate thought was he must have stuffed this one up. That is what all his anger and embarassement about the misjudgement (in my opinion) showed.

But then he can't man the f*ck up and say it was his fault but bring the team in and be evasive? not grown up.

People generally see what they want to see. Ask two parties that witness a single event and you'll generally get two versions of what occurred. Ham certainly was steamed in the moment and rightfully so, but he also backed away from blaming the team and accepting his responsibility in the screw up.

That is my belief...shared responsibility due to complacency.
