This looks really strange. The car in the brakes looks like it looses the balance...and hit the wall.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89DHFeSVxrg
the physics are not strange at all high speed, the driver pounded on the brakes(flashing brake lights), all the weight shifts forward, then appears to try and turn-to-avoid, rear end comes around, driver does not catch/correct what I agree is strange is why they were doing this, appeared the guy had plenty of room either side to pass, but the more obvious thing is he was driving like an idiot
It´s even cheaper to drive looking ahead to see possible obstacles instead of watching the mirrors to see if he had beaten the other moron he was racing in another of those moronic street races. Obviously the guy doesn´t know the First Rule of Italian Driving.
I don't really understand what happened here. It doesn't look like he was going fast enough that the brakes would have been insufficient, and just braking wouldn't have caused the car to steer to the side.
Looks like he tried to steer around the car in front of him while still hard on the brakes. Car kicked out to the right and into the wall.
Both cars ahead of him had just entered from the right and were merging into his lane (you can actually see the white car signalling at 0.23-0.26). Apparently, he was moving too quickly and not looking ahead. I'd say he made a last-minute evasive maneuver and lost it. Probably a kid with too little experience, little-to-no common sense, and in too much car. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rX7wtNOkuHo[/ame] If you are going to be dumb expect bad things to happen. That's what track days are for.
Idiot. People doing these things make the rest of us who don't wreck our cars look like aholes. Anyone notice the videos are always Ferrari or Lambo?
LOL. What an idiot. Stoopid. Money to buy the car but can't drive it. Actually what I'm seeing more and more with the ones that buy them new.
Well yes, if a manual would allow for engaging reverse at full (forward) acceleration. Such a guy would manage that just as well
Doubt it. If they can't drive a car with paddles and keep it on the road I doubt one more input will help it. All that would do is create more whining on this board about how Ferrari clutches only last 7,000 miles in a new car. It appears the lane on the left and the right of the car that the driver braked for was empty.
If he was breaking how did he lose control? At least in the new Z06 vid you can tell the driver didn't know how to counter steer his oversteer.
All the money in the world can buy you almost anything ; what it can't buy is common sense and brains.
was explained quite well above. He locked up, all the weight shifted forward, when he turned the wheel to the right the rear broke loose, and the car started to rotate clockwise.
This is why I wish Ferrari would quit putting those expensive idiot-proof gizmos in their cars. This would scare of rich spoiled idiots & posers, and maybe even some of the prospectors who only think of ROI. Only true enthusiasts, who actually know how to drive, would then be likely to purchase Ferraris. Oh well...
Seemed pretty straight forward.someone came in at a sharp merge, out of sight due to the incline. Rear end em or try to go around. The first one on this real seems a little strange.Slicks? Seemed to lose control rather easy. http://youtu.be/y_5p4-JCMXQ #2-holy crap. I wonder if the pit guy made it out of the way or just exploded like the car. #3/4- sames as #1 .tires? #6- that guy musta fried.looks like the fire crew made it worse. #8- holy crap part deux Makes me a little nervous.driven in lots of conditions/cars where I've lost control(usually ice/snow). Always have managed to right it without collision. Ended up in the ditch a few times. Some of these looked odd. Dry road, not tremendous speed, turns not too sharp. Then bam! Instant loss of control. I've been testing turns a bit feeling confident in design and low center of gravity. As well as usually being able to sense the start of a slide and correct. But after watching this,I don't know. Too slick of a tread I'm hoping.Balked a bit at the all season tires recommended for my recent replacements since I don't plan on driving in snow/rain.is this type of loss of control common in ferraris and other squat sports cars? Or just crappy drivers and wrong tires. Please advise.
