does anyone know the number for the world, I thought it was about 200 to 300 cars?
I believe they finish 6 V12s a day ... Lets say that the majority of the 12s are F12s .. Let`s say on average 4 ... That would give around 800 a year ( considering 200 business days ) ... Reasonable or sounds too many ? Cheers
Ferrari, as far as I know, does not break down its sales by model. You can approximate, however, by doing a little interpolation. There is a site that tracks registrations in Europe that counted 418 F12s sold in Europe in 2014. As of 2012, Europe accounted for about 40 percent of Ferrari's sales (of all models). So if you believe the 418 number, then roughly it's about 1,000 F12s a year worldwide. That number sounds a trifle large to me, but its probably not way off. The FF reportedly sold 800 worldwide in its first year of production.
If it is any help, I was told by Ferrari that 190 FFs were imported into North America (US and Canada) last year. Since the US is about 30% of market, that implies about 600 FFs worldwide, not inconsistent with 800 the first year. I am sure there were more F12s and using the 6 V12s per day figure would again lead to about 800 F12s (for 45 weeks). .
Near 1000 would be my guess. You know how many cars they produce overall and how many models they have, as well as the general popularity of them and prices. I think you can figure it out within a reasonable close amount.
