Any events this weekend?

Just wondering if there's any car events going on this weekend. Making a trip down there Sunday, and might make it a weekend trip if there's anything else going on.

From my office window it looks like Ellington is setting up for some type of Autocross on the runways... maybe google it? No sure.

 

Well, maybe I need to buy a Hellcat for that.

Was mainly wondering if there were any C&C-ish events, because I'm going with a friend and his Kharmann Ghia to an all-VW show in La Porte on Sunday, and we're just looking for other events, if there's any. Is y'all's C&C weekly or once a month like Dallas?

 

I am going to take over the Brick House, to watch the 24 Nurburgring race.....going by today or tomorrow, the be sure they can show the feed.

 

Mike Barfield is in town, at the Big Top Friday night.

Which Brick House?

 

The annual AIA Sandcastle event goes off on Saturday, at Galveston Island's East Beach.
There's a kick off party Friday at the Doubetree, 6 to 10PM on Seawall Blvd.

On Saturday, just go to the end of the road, when you see 60 tents on the shoreline, and a few thousand people, that's it!!!

I will be chilling and grilling with Rice University FE&P, but I met a cute girl at Cottonwood last evening. When we tried to recruite her as a fashion model, for my friend's clothing line, it turned out she HAD a job...University of Houston....architecture....proffesor...PhD...

Two Tons of Steel plays the Firehouse, Saturday night.

The Romeo Dogs are at the Kemah Boardwalk at noon on Sunday!!!

I was suppose to go to this. but 80% of rain.. i doubt Ill drive down there.. but if the weather changes.. ill take the Ferrari.

 

forecast doesn't look too bad down there now, think I'll take the Ferrari down there and if it rains it rains.

 

Just inquiring: a racing buddy sent this to me asking if I was putting one of my cars in it.

I've never heard of it. Does anyone else know it?

Houston's C&C are the first Saturday of each month. Past venues were off of 610, then out on 249. I understand they are currently held in Baytown.

I'm having the timing belts replaced by FoH and my car should be ready this Friday. If so, I might be up for checking out C&C.

Be smart and stay out of floodwaters; otherwise, I don't mind driving my 360 in the rain ... it has windshield wipers from the factory.

 

This is incorrect....just do not want to give anyone the wrong idea.

The former C&C is not a monthly event any longer. In fact, it has only been held ONCE in the past 11 months.

 

I didn't think anything was in Baytown..

 

That's out by the Woodlands, Main Street...looks like FCA is on board....no idea but certainly looks legit.

 

We pulled it off at the beach without rain, but got hammered with rain, on the way home Saturday night!
