Joe I am interested in car number 56759, which was originally owned by Colin Briggs of Forfar, Scotland where I lived at the time, it had a UK number if I can remember of 308 GTO, I have searched UK for the number but it comes up with nothing, I remember as a 27 year old watching it coming down the narrow high street of our small country town and it filled the road, it just had a presence that said , move over the King has arrived. any info on it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for that. I remember reading that Colin had twisted Ferrari's arm into doing the seat inserts in Bridge of Weir red leather, instead of the standard red Nomex (which fades badly to orange). Image Unavailable, Please Login
Quick question : ere there any events planned to celebrate the 288GTO 30th anniversary? I only heard abour a Tshirt so far... Puma Ferrari Concept Tee - Foot Locker
Jacques, this brings back memories of our 25th Reunion event! I hope the 30th is marked but I haven't heard anything yet. If I do I will post it here. Image Unavailable, Please Login
We did our 25th in 2009 on the basis of the 1st year of production in 1984, but an Anniversary based on the 2nd year of production would still be both welcome & appropriate.
Speaking of celebrations, this pic is of one heading home after making the day for many fans in Celebration FL in 2013. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not my photo, but thought it might bring back memories!! Btw 308GTO was on a second GTO after Mr Briggs. Image Unavailable, Please Login

A worthy re-post, thanks for sharing! We had a few GTOs turn up for our event that year - 15 to be precise. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes indeed, a superb (old-school) gentleman client bought a 288 GTO, a 275 GTB/4 and a Carrera GT from me, all at once.
The GTB/4 is 103871 (below) and the GTO is 57493, the famed ex-Otis Chandler car. Image Unavailable, Please Login
