    I regret I don't have the original paint swatches myself but I do know that there is no code on them. Nor is my pic anything like a reliable guide to the colour for the purposes of paint matching!

    PPG wasn't very helpful to me when I was trying to get it. Tower Paints was & I am very satisfied, but it was a base coat/clear coat process. Also, I admittedly have never compared the paint I got to the real thing. I ordered mine in an aerosol can, so maybe it would be worth buying a can for comparison purposes?

    I posted here to show the paint color as I used automotive base & 2 part clear coat, obtained using the lam paint code. I based this model on Brian's car...

    Great pics! That is the first time I saw 40006 with that French 66 plate. Do you have any idea of the date?

    First owner:
    First registered 1980 on 8124 JH 92 Hauts-de-Seine, Nanterre, Île-de-France [Paris]
    ???? on 6343 RE 66, Pyrénées-Orientales, Perpignan, Languedoc-Roussillon
    1998 on 7328 ZR 31 Haute-Garonne, Toulouse, Midi-Pyrénées

    Second owner:
    2003 on 1801 KA 46 Lot, Cahors, Midi-Pyrénées

    The rosso/nero car in the top pic with silver wheels and without a wing mirror is maybe 40014, the second two pics with gold wheels are 40006, the white car is 40106 and the silver car is 40080.

    Thanks. According to [an earlier version of] the ILR page, 40006 was photographed with 8124 JH 92 at the ILOC meeting at Colmar Berg circuit Luxembourg in 1986, so I had assumed it was after this...The pic is still there but not the text. Also I now see I have a factory service invoice dated November 1987 stating reg still 8124 JH 92...
