Just looking to see if anyone got them to fit and what did you use?

I've got a set of 8 puck brakes doing nothing that need 20s to fit

Will not look good on a 355. Dont care how low profile the tires are. It just seems out of place with 20s. The car IMO is not designed for 20" wheels, and you know I spent some time at Pasadena Art College as trans. designer.

Footage of a 355 on 20" wheels here (along with a Chrysler on massive rims): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GC2EnP7YkYg

Just My personal opinion of course but it looks ridiculous and I suspect it probably drives like s:censored:t too, crashing about on every slight ripple in the road!

    Bigger is not always better!

Too big, but Eric's 19's look perfect. Amazing how much 1" can change the look.

That's actually my car in the video, I told the PO to keep the rims when I bought the car and put the originals back on. I have all the specs on them in a folder at home if you want them.

20's may look ok with a reverse lip and 19" centre.

My personal opinion is that it's the drop that makes the car looks ridiculous. I'll never understand why people want to drop a car so much that the line of the tire and wheel well are no longer concentric (on a street car, that is... I get setting ride height on the track for handling/aero over aesthetics)

Also hard to really get a gauge of how 20s look when the wheels are black like in that example.

The brake rotors are just too small for bigger wheels to work.
Heck, the brake rotors are on the small side for 18" wheels.

I think they would have looked ok with much larger brakes. I dug out my book of receipts last night but haven't had a chance to look all the way through and find the rim specs, I'll try to find them tonight.

Fwiw, I talked to Movit yesterday about brake kits and they indicated it would be no problem to do a CCM kit for a 355, maybe a good use for 20" rims...

    +1. Looks ridiculous.

Of course, because they are black it's hard to tell if they are 14" or 24"...

24"s, those would be donks, and donks look stupid on any car.

    Lol!

The thing is, with completely black wheels it's impossible to tell anything about the design of the wheel.

I'll admit they look ok on an all-black car. It's part of the persona of that car, if you like.

But on any other colour car - especially when moving - it looks like you've woken up in the morning to find your car up on blocks with all the wheels stolen, so you've just stuck on four cheap and nasty steel wheels in order to get home...

Why you'd swap the gorgeous original wheels for that is beyond me.

But, as always, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that....

We had homemade carnitas last night for dinner. Practicing my pork butt for a stoogefest at my place upcoming

Not bad for a pollack, what did you try different?

If they were 14" then the brake discs would have to be from a mountain bike as they look tiny behind those wheels!

(Let Me state before anyone [especially the cars owner!] takes offence that I'm not knocking the car itself, just the oversized wheels fitted to it in the video).

Whilst the lowered suspension doesn't help matters, it still looks like too much wheel and too little rubber for the car IMO.

As I previously posted: "Bigger isn't always better!"

There used to be a saying about the wheels on BMW's E46 M3: "18's to go - 19's to show".

This came about because the car became noticeably crashy on 19" wheels but felt perfect on 18" wheels, so the 19's were noted as being poseurs wheels and the 18's were rated as being the choice for serious drivers.

As for the 355, here in the UK 20" wheels wouldn't even be a viable option as they'd be square after a couple of miles and all of your teeth would have fallen out due to our crappy, worn out, pot-holed roads!

Well, there's a reason I had the PO put the stock wheels back on - I just didn't like the 20's. At all. The ride height also wasn't great for the front bumper or undertrays. Looks much better with the stock or challenge wheels I have now.

I would only run 19's or 20's if brake choice dictated, otherwise you're sacrificing performance and ride quality for arguably worse looks.

I guess no one knows what 8 puck "piston" calipers look like. The rotors are almost as big as 18" wheels

Looks like 20x9 front, 20x11 rear, 245/30 front and 285/25 rear tires. Not sure on offsets but that should get you started. If you do a search for f355 kartier you can find a bunch more pics of it.
