It's hard to do but I'm selling my 2007 Porsche GT3RS. I just listed it on eBay but wanted to spread the word here with my FChat buddies. It's been a great car but I had to make some room since the permits for the new garage are not going as planned. Feel free to shoot me any questions on the car but it's been a great car with no issues. I know no one will probably believe me but, at least through the last two owners, it's never been tracked. For those of you that know me, you know my cars always get the best available and the GT3RS was no exception.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-911-GT3-RS-Coupe-2-Door-/131526525614?forcerrptr=true&hash=item1e9f9782ae&item=131526525614

Here's the description from the eBay ad:

The 997.1 GT3 RS has quickly become the standard for true driver’s car and has been claimed to be one of the best track inspired cars Porsche has ever made. This numbers matching 2007 GT3RS in stunning condition inside and out. If you are in the market for a GT3RS this car should be on your list to consider since it remains unmodified and in pristine condition. It just turned over 17,000 miles and was recently serviced by Santa Barbara Porsche. I purchased the car from a close friend when it was a CPO car so you know it was in top condition and never wrecked. Through the history of the car since my friend and I have owned it, it has never been tracked nor modified other than the installation of a satellite stereo (in the factory radio), an Escort 8500ci radar/laser detection system with jammers and a battery tender. It comes with all manuals and original window sticker listed for over $138,000 when new and comes very well optioned. It just had a new clear bra installed since the old one was yellowing.

There isn't one right now. I did that a few months back when I was considering selling it and I had three full price offers (two from dealers) so I knew immediately that I set it too low. I see the prices all over the place with very high list prices but I don't know what they are really selling for or not so I'm letting the market help decide what is real. I set the reserve at a very realistic price and will see what the market dictates.

I would be interested. If you had an idea of what you were looking to sell it for, it would be helpful.

I've already had two cash offers of $130K so north of that.

No way that goes for 125. Easily worth 25-30k more. I hope the seller isn't letting her go to a dealer....

Wait until the last 10-15 seconds......probably lots waiting til last minute.

For the OP, why set the reserve at $125 if you got 2 cash offers for $130K ?

Those offers came in after the auction had already started. You can't raise the reserve per eBay's rules once bids are received.

The hard part with these cars is we see the prices listed but not sure what they are actually selling for. I'm happy with the price.

    Rant Warning

I hate it when people bid on cars and say they are going to buy it then when rubber hits the road start coming up with all sorts of excuses why they need more time.

Deal looks like it's falling through.

    Rant Over.

I just bought my 612 but I did it based on an eBay ad. Six weeks ago we agreed on a price but I told him I needed about a month to finish moving some money around (in and out of retirement accounts etc that took FOREVER and luckily the seller and I were in constant communication and I followed up on each and every thing he asked for including deposit etc. he could have easily said cash today or I relist but luckily he wasn't in too much of a rush and he really did care where it went as he was the only owner and wanted it to go to someone who would appreciate it vs a dealer. For some sellers it's only about money. For some like he and I, I would rather find the right buyer and then be reasonable with timeframe. If someone is backing out that's petty and happened to me twice when I sold my panamera. Pissed me off. If a buyer says they just need another week or so I wouldn't panic. Just my .02. Everyone has a different threshold on this stuff. Hope it goes to someone who appreciates how rare and awesome a car that is.

It looks that way but we're weighing our options right now. We may end up taking it to the auctions in Monterey.
