CS Market

so what is the current market on a perfect condition low mile (sub 4,000) CS fully serviced with all books records etc ? I am looking for current market based on real sales we know of in past few months not dealer asking prices or dealers claiming what they sold for ? anybody have actual sales data ? and whatever the market is I assume based on some posts maybe 10% less for a no stripe car ?

I can almost guarantee you that nyc123 has paid more money in sales tax on cars in the past 5 yrs than most the people following this thread have in cars.

we've been trying to get him help but he doesn't think he has a problem. and trust me, when I think its a problem, its a problem.

I don't know of any sales but that's exactly the car I own (no stripe but I'll throw in the sticker for free). If I was selling, it would be something starting with a 3

 

Any of the various seals leak from lack of use?

 

Not sure if this is a serious question but I haven't had any problems. If you are implying that it should be driven more I agree. In my defense that's how I bought it and my Ferraris have about 200,000 miles between them so it's not like I'm not trying

Hi. A friend of mine had 6,000 miles on his Stradale, and he had some oil leaks. I put 18,000 on each of my Stradales with no problems. Just curious if other low mileage Stradales have oil leaks.

200,000 Ferrari miles has to be a record!

Each owner is different. If I had a sub 4000 mile CS I wouldn't sell it because I don't have too and what else am I going to do with the money anyways? But if I were gonna sell it it would be over $300K.

I would bet most who own a sub 4000 mile car aren't interested in selling. They're rich enough to sit it in a corner and not drive it so there you go. A sub 4000 mile CS will be a $500K car in the next few years.

2,XXX mile CS went through Svc , no fluid leaks at all.

Annual Svc, Tires, Battery, and a couple other small bits, car is in fantastic shape as would be expected!

What will an F40 be in 5 years?

 

The same as now. The market will continue to cool, low mileage Euro models will gently bring the prices down as they start to be imported into the US. The market will then recover and in 5 years we will be where we are now. That would be healthy given the quadrupling in the last 7 years.

 

I disagree. There's too much cash in the world and too few "collectibles" to own.

F40 is an international market. Just because you can import them to the U.S. does not mean the price will decline.

 

You can get a really nice euro F40 for under e1m and that has been a market that has been off limits up until now for US based F40 buyers who are paying up to $1.5m.
You can't say the lower priced euro models aren't going to affect the US prices because they will.

Anyway what you are saying is music to my ears as I'm fully invested in the market. The increases are unsustainable, so a leveling off is a best case scenario in my opinion.

 

Tremendous amounts of money are coming to the U.S. The super rich I do business with overseas keep their money in the U.S. They have to buy up assets.

If you're already a U.S. citizen or company it behooves you to keep your "profits" offshore.

 

^ Nothing goes up in a straight line.. That's how potential bubbles are made. Or a sign of an unhealthy market.. Imo I wouldn't be surprised if F40 prices stalled out for a few years but doesn't mean they won't go higher in the longer term.

 

Just my opinion. It's worth exactly what you paid for it.
