Stupid Ferrari they should have made 700-800 units. The world economy has exploded and they are still
trading on the same unit count since the F50 twenty years ago.Leaving 100M profit on the table - IMO

US and ROW markets are not comparable for cars that are <25 years.

It is a remarkable vehicle.

I think that at list price it represents good value.

Above list, an individual has to make their own judgment, and not be judged.

If I had a 288 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo and LaF in the garage (!!), I know which one I'd rather jump into for a 30 minute drive.....

I was talking to my dealer and he told me someone bought one for €2.1m a week or so ago and they did the pdi for him to make sure all good.

So I believe the price you quoted is pretty accurate (for now at least)

Wynn did sell his about 2 months ago for $3M. Seems the US market for these is around $3M. There are cars out there to be had right now for this price. You likely won't find them advertised though because the sellers don't' want Ferrari to know. I know of several so all I can say is if somebody is willing to pay $2M over market they are the fool that is about to be parted with their money. All a buyer has to do is a little digging and they will find cars at $3M out there as I type.

Of course, the seller at $5M can ask whatever they want. I have a '15 458 Spider for sale. I am asking $1M. Any takers? Probably not. Same goes for the $5M LaFerrari.

That's about right.

There is no correlation between the $5m ask price and anything, the Seller is simply reaching for the stars, as is their prerogative.

As I just posted on another thread, I have been offered 2 used LaFerraris, one at $3.2 and one at around $3.6. Where they got $5mil is beyond me

$5mil is the asking price.
It will not sell at this price but it gave them free advertising on pretty much every social network and car blogs.

but doesn't that hurt their credibility when trying to sell a basic 458 or 911? I wouldn't be interested in even calling them because they have unrealistic mark-ups and/or expectations of values in their cars

I think so. I would now assume all their pricing is heavy and unrealistic if they are that out of touch with the market

The car is definitely Wynn's ex-LaFerrari. It has been titled in someone else's name for two months now, which leads to believe that it's only being consigned to Naples, and that it's not actually owned by Naples.

The car is worth whatever anyone's willing to pay. But heavy will be the hearts of other LaFerrari lusters should someone actually commit to $5MM on this car. Financially, I don't believe the car is worth that much, and frankly I don't envision it ever being worth five mil in the next decade. But anyone who can spend seven figures on a car surely won't be taking financial advice from someone who bought frozen chicken patties last night at the grocery store. :)

Interesting if that's Wynn's as the car was sold while I was staying at the Wynn two months ago for $3M to a good friend of Steve Wynn's. Apparently Steve got the car put on display and then to flip it. The friend who bought it from him apparently also bought it to flip it once again. Since his cost is $3M he's looking for some upside but he will be lucky to get much premium over the $3M he paid especially after you factor in sales tax. Current market is $3M to $3.2M. Also the new owner will be the THIRD name on the title! Ouch!

I expect as the one year mark comes up for each owner many LaFerrari's will hit the market. Increase in supply usually holds down prices and I suspect that if somebody bought to flip they are going to do it sooner rather than later.

There are already guys flipping it and going against the 1 year Ferrari embargo either outright or by holding title and agreeing to transfer it once the year has passed (but still doing the transaction NOW).

Enzos are now worth 3 to 4 or even 5 their MSRP and that's within 12 years (during which we had 4 years of financial crisis). A $5m Laf is just a bit more than 3 times the MSRP+taxes..

It is most definitely the ex-Wynn car. And the person in whose name it is currently titled is himself a seller, so it was never even a consideration that the current "owner" would keep it. I knew months ago it would be re-flipped once it left Wynn.

I saw the car in the Penske-Wynn showroom in early November when I was in Vegas for SEMA. I brought a friend with me who literally acted as a human shield while I took pictures.

Alas, my friend, you'll get no argument from me on the Enzo portion of your statement. But I bold-fistedly claim here and now that LaFerrari values will never equal Enzo values in terms of exponentiated sticker price.

Do you mean to sit there and tell me, with a straight face, that the blue car is more visceral and rewarding than the red car?!? That it sounds better, is nimbler, and gives you more of a rush?!?

The numbers alone don't convince me; I'd take a Testarossa over an F12 any day. And I still think the FXX sounds better than the FXXK (although I haven't yet heard an FXXK in person, so I should probably reserve that judgment).

Well no because i have not driven the blue car. But it does sound better for sure. In my opinion it also looks much better.

I was very surprised. But to me, the Laf made the Enzo look old. I still love it but seeing both side by side, there was no comparison in looks. It pains me to say it though for i love the old man.
