Greetings all Very Happy that I ordered this refined Beast of a machine. The flowing lines remind me of a Bad Ass 60s fastback, and it feels the most solid of any sports car I've driven, short of the 991 Coupe. I'll most appreciate the power, compared to the 911S. I was initially going for a California T, but Im glad that I upgraded after Major delays with the T order. Been driving 991's 997s and Bentleys but I expect this to be a different animal...When I saw it at the Park Avenue Showroom, I had to have it. Its my first Ferrari, so I didn't want to go overboard with an elaborate build, Its also going to be an everyday driver, as I only have parking for one car. Thought of a black stripe, but my wife gave me a look...she test drove and loved the car though! Argento nurburgring, Rosso Dino and Grigio titanio were considered as well, but IMHO white really shows the Aero Bridge architecture the best. Any advice on this car is appreciated, especially on how I can avoid plugging it in for charging, as my preferred Garage has no outlet. "..... especially on how I can avoid plugging it in for charging, as my preferred Garage has no outlet." You don't need to charge her if you use her daily, IMO charging required if you leave the car for more than 2 weeks. It would be nice to have the outlet or outlet cable extension just in case if you go for vacation for more than 2 weeks.
Having seen a ton of these cars at the factory, my view is it doesn't look good in plain flat colours it needs metallic paint. Looks gorgeous in Titanio and Argento and also looked great in Rosso Maranello. Wouldn't touch it in the flat white. There will be an equal number that disagree with me!!
I disagree with you Bianco Avus looks very nice on the F12. I do agree that Grigio Titanio is gorgeous though.
Hoping my Bianca Italia goes into production by the end of the month. Cuoio racing seats with iroko stitching and marrone cf. I agree about white - think it is beautiful. This will be my second metallic white F car - first was a 458 spider. Don't be dissuaded to do white - Marmist notwithstanding!
What is "Metal Flags Pininfarina Logo EXC"? Is it a badge that goes on the tail like on vintage Ferraris? Never heard of this option before.
i think it is a little italian red white and green flag at the tailgate release...at least that is what mine has
from Extra Campanario, they are crossed racing flags that are placed above the word PININFARINA by the wheel wells. I've attached a pic of what I believe they should look like, more modern version though. Im proud of the Pininfarina design house, and am glad to highlight the provenance, of this vehicle with these, especially as their Factory. is a seductive color, It was almost my choice. White will give me better visibility on the highway as a bright color.
Very nice detail! You are right in highlighting the PF pedigree. Seeing the recent trends the F12 could very well be Pininfarina's last non-limited production Ferrari
I enquired about that option code for my new F12 order and was told it's just a rectangular Italian tricolour. No crossed flags. Which is a pity. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
a few suggestions as a recent F12 owner: 1. I would do black Alcantara in the center of the seat, more breathable than leather, wears better and looks fantastic, adds some mixed materials to the interior. 2. do the back partial shelf and rear deck in leather otherwise they will cover it in carpet and a strange woven hood liner material, the leather completes the interior whereas the other materials look kinda cheap, not sure why Ferrari ships the car the other way. my two cents... you will love the car you cannot imagine the power and drive its unreal.
I've also have 997s and 991s, etc, this is another level completely...makes the uber bug seems pedestrian. Truly...you will LOVE this thing.
I think a white car with black interior will look better with carbon fiber shields instead of the regular.
I do like the cf, but felt that the yellow calipers and center caps would be better with original shields, the wheels and sport sills will be black as well, so I'm going for a coordinated motor sports look, but low key. I really wanted Rosso Maranello, but as its my only ride, Biaco Avus or Nero Daytona seemed simple, in the end Bianca won out, due to lines of the bodywork.
Agree with you about the lines showing better in lighter colors....had a white 458 in white, and ordered my f12 in white too for the same reason. While I love black and had a pozzi blue 430, they just don't show the nuances of the body sculpture imho.
The F 12 also looks amazing in Rosso Dino, when I saw one, a medium orange color, and I just saw an Argento in Beverly Hills Ferrari yesterday, it also looked fantastic.
