Just got my first glimpse of my SA that arrived yesterday. She was off loaded at the dealer in the rain and they wisely didn't wipe her down just for me to take a first look. So I haven't included any new pictures because she was dirty. She's getting detailed, front skid plates, capristo remote valve opener, CF in the engine bay, CF wheel caps and clear bra.....all in time to pick her up and drive her this weekend. I have to admit that she's even more stunning in person than I had imagined. The rosso fiorano looked amazing on the special but seems a step above on the special aperta. The nero alcantara interior is just so much more sporty and really suits this limed production, street-track version of the 458. Can't wait to drive her through the twisty canyons of southern california this weekend. I will post some pictures of her in the sun this weekend.

I'm a big fan of Rosso Fiorano, and the stripe that you have selected gives it a fantastic accent on the 458 SA. Congratulations! Fred

Fantastic colour. If you're going to get a 'red' Ferrari, that's the one to get.

In the USA there is another Speciale A that looks more like NART Blu than the TdF here but also with the silver stripe. However on this car the silver stripe comes straight back to the rear without the extra silver bits extending to the edge of the rear tail lights. The other style looks like feathers on an arrow...

Stunning color scheme Rod! Would have selected Fiorano as well for my Aperta but for the $22K additional cost. Enjoy the twisties in good health! Look forward to seeing the photos.

    Another dealer I called

    650k each here in US

Ouch. Do you think its the usual hype that happens when models such as these start coming out? Do you a sustained elevated price?

    Thank you

I'm happy to report that I brought her home this afternoon and went for a short drive with, of course, the top down. Sun was out and temp was around 78 degrees. I have to compare the Speciale A with my Speciale as a reference and I admit it was a short drive but WOW!
.The Alcantara just adds the right amount of a sporty touch to the interior.
.The SA has more CF along the door, leaving just the very top in alcantara compared to two layers in the Speciale.
.The SA feels lighter overall. Not certain if it's the new 3-D seats in alcantara but something makes the car feel lighter. My Speciale had a leather interior nero/cuio.
.The sound with the top down is sheer heaven. Wow, what an event to drive her around the neighborhood. Can't wait for a proper drive through the twisty canyons.
.Then there's the wind and sun in your face.
Man...what an amazing Fcar. I'm sure the 488 is amazing but I'm just over the moon with my SA.

Quick question please..........my SA is a Sept build. I'm speccing it in the same scheme as my Speciale Coupe, TdF with white stripe. But I notice on here some stripes on the SA run to rear lip, others don't. Is this a specific request? I want the white to run to the lip/ to the rear lights. Do I need to check? Many thanks.

Yes. There are 2 different types of stripes. One over the lips, the other doesn't. Check with your dealer!

Spoke to them. Dealer believes strip to rear lip is standard and smaller variant an extra. Either way they'll check. Thx.

It's a difference in the type of stripe ordered. The one on my SA is the standard stripe. The one you describe is the optional stripe. There is also a third option, where you can design a stripe of different colors and or design.
