Thank you! I am having the calipers painted yellow tomorrow. I'll reconsider the wrap until I see the caliper result tomorrow. Just never wanted a black car before.
I went on Autotrader for the first time in a while to check scud prices and was surprised to see that not only are the asking prices on all but two really high mileage cars in the 200k's, but there are so few scuds currently offered for sale. I think there were around 25 back when I bought but there are currently only 15 or so offered now. Not definitive evidence for the entire market, but interesting nonetheless.
ebaymotors has one scud and one 16M, both from same dealer. $250k and $295k respectively. 13 on cars.com (subtracting mine that still shows up)
What are speciale's going for? More than their original sales prices? Sounds unlikely that I'll ever be able to get one.
A Black SCUD went on Sale on Monday in CH and it was gone by Wednesday they are just suddenly disappearing onmass
WHOA! Don't see prices dropping much on that one in spite of the 488 launch as it is the last naturally-aspirated V8. Well, maybe I'll win the lottery.
Without more info on the number of Speciale produced it's hard to predict future. I think Scud is not hold value as well as CS is due to the higher volume.
I can tell you I paid well above $200k (but less than $250k) for a great Scud with 9000 miles about a month ago. Haven't regretted for a second. Additionally, have had two offers on it already for more than I paid for it.....but no way I'm selling.
I have owned quite a few Ferraris and not much comes close to the experience of driving a scud hard. Pound for pound it is one of the best cars ever and it will always be a beloved model by enthusiasts. Modern cars are having a surge right now so not sure if/when the music stops but if you bought your scud at a good price and mentally never value it at more than you paid for it (even if value today might be higher) you should be able to keep it and enjoy it for the long term and likely get your money back.
I still have mine and enjoying it , hate to sell it if I get the right price I will , it only has 6000 k on it 1 owner.
After caliper paint pic. I was shocked how much detail went into having these done so they look stock. I couldn't be happier with how the calipers look. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Car looks great except for the after market tinting as I think it spoils the lines of the car. But maybe it's necessary if you live in Nevada.
