I finally had some time to drive the 355. Took out for a 100mi sprited drive. I sure did miss it. Hit 170mph a few times but it felt like it plenty more.
However, for a brief period I turned the radio on just to see if it was working. It worked well. On the radio Black Betty. I thought wow great...
Within a minute I redlined a gear and again which is when I turned off the radio.
The car is smooth as they get. The engine is like velvet as another fchater put it. Unless i heard it I missed the shift point. I guess I need to get used to it more.
It feels like the rev limiter needs to be further out.
Anyhow, I'm one very happy owner.

    Agreed!

I wish we had the specs of shumachers 355 with the 10k rpm redline available to us. Would be interesting to see what it would take to make it sing at 10k :)

It'll take $40k to get to 10k but wouldn't that be sweet.

I am with you. I don't have a radio in 2 of my Ferrari and don't even know how to turn the one that has a stereo on.
Yep they sure fly but always be careful, I'll never tell what I did on my favorite 5 lane open road at 6 am hehehe

Best thing I ever did in my F355 is to remove the radio all together. Haven't looked back since...

And Tim, I'm guessing you've had your cars up to and beyond MT's speed before. Had mine up near 125 a few weeks ago, but those long straights just aren't available around here like they used to be (damned tract housing). Need to make a run to the desert I guess...

You don't think that my choice in license plates was a coincidence do ya Bruce?

My 355 is now 20 years old and never had a radio in there. I am quite happy with the sound generated somewhere behind my seat.
