Guys, I'm trying to remove the leather boot/tool tray on my '96 355 Spider that goes around the parking brake for some leather repairs and re-dying. I've removed the 2 screws that hold it to the floor but it still hangs up on something. Anyone done this before? What else do I need to do. Don't want to damage anything so I thought I would ask you guys first.
yeah and it seems the best way to remove it is to use a dremal or some kind of rotating cut off wheel to cut a notch in the handle's base (just big enough) to release the cable I tried to do it without cutting the notch and without forcing it out the bottom and fracturing the fiberglass it has to be that way. There are threads on doing this job. check out the sticky thread.
