Great Story, but it's a 1986 QV, you can identify from the engine lid.

Fantastic, the Countach looks to be dark red metallic.

There was/is also a black 1988.5 QV DD in Trindidad, registered PAY 55.

The images were taken on Sunday June 7th, 2015, so very recent.

Perhaps the cars are not for sale, or simply stored there.

    You're welcome

The car is an '86, but the pictures were taken in 1987.

Thanks Joe, I heard there might be another QV in Trinidad owned by a gentleman that owns a successful auto parts business.

That's the one, 1988.5, black/black with gold wheels.

And the owner will be bringing this lovely example to the UK Countach Sunday Lunch meet. Although I hope he cleans the grass off the tyres first :)

I'm pretty sure that it's still there. I have tried to buy it a couple of years ago but even being Trinidadian doesn't help me much with that.

I haven't been back in several years but one of my cousins was telling me about it when he heard I had one. I sent a couple of strong inquiries to the owner but was told he doesn't want to sell. He certainly doesn't need the money.

It's funny because I moved away a long time ago and started all of my companies in the US. What I do is completely foreign to my cousins in Trinidad it's very rare if they ask me what I do for a living or hobbies. Every now and then someone figures out that I collect old sports cars and I get a flood of info on cars that might be hidden away down there. I should probably spend some more time trying to track down what's there.

Indeed it is, I sold it and the light yellow Carrera 2.7 RS to the new owner at the same time.

Hi, wow. Great photos of the maroon 86 QV. The maroon 86 Countach QV was on the stand at one of the Motor shows in London with Portman Lamborghini number plates whe new. It was sold to Trinidad and registered P80. It was returned to the UK for servicing at Portman Lamborghini. The 88.5 black car is one of the 17 RHD 88.5 Countachs (no, there were not 14 as everyone says, there were 17). Again supplied by Portman Lamborghini in the UK and one of three supplied in black. From memory the car is black with black with red piping. What happened when the maroon car crashed? Hadn't heard it crashed. Robert W

I always remembered the Jalpa from Rocky IV, but I never noticed until today that he had a Countach as well. I also remember a 308 getting repossessed in Rocky V.
